A class evening - except for the footy result!

Post by Matt Vinyl »

Afternoon all! Thought I'd share my tale with you of last nights fun and frolics.

Left work just after four with a pal, and we went down to the local village for a couple (well...) of pints before the footy. First pub had a DOND Can You Beat... so I stayed clear of that and enjoyed a nice couple of pints of Oranjeeboom (sp?).

Pondered around to the next pub, and:

CADD - £25
First pound rolled onto a nice pile of cash at the bottom of the machine. Offered £8 first board, no more really needs to be said about it's state of play. Plumped £20 through and the top went for a nice £50 off of an IM board. Collected and went back to enjoy the rest of my pint, and three 20-ish girls jumped onto it and piled around £40 through, collecting the odd £3+rpt and ploughing that back in. I was mildly amused, as a) they seemed like an unlikely set of 'players' and b) they hadn't a clue! They left, with slightly lighter purses. I jumped on, MS for £30 within a tenner.
Sweet!

Lucky Devil - £35
This didn't appear to be playing ball, AGB1, losing on 2's, but after £10 I nudged in the three blue dice. I find these a damn sight harder to select what you want when there's no 'graphic' on the main part of the machine (in other words, it's only the alpha display that shows the options). But I worked out the pattern, and hit SnS. It provided me with that lovely slow one, which I'm always a bit nervy of over/under shooting, but not this time (and to be honest, I rarely do miss it!) Collected the £25 and moved on.

DOND (WIYB) - £35
Put £3 into this on 50p play, got the dial on reel 3, played the middle game, collected an offer of £21.xx. Moved on...

Next pub:

Warped - £35
First board offered £10+rpt first go, so the push was on. After £30 in, I had the bonus up to the one before the top (Red Hot?) and on an 11, went lower to be awarded the Warped feature, went for £45. I carried on, and as I hoped, next board was the £35 cashpot job. I knew I could continue playing safely, as I had the safety net of an extra life, and Warped was red. After much poodling around the board, I finally landed on the 2 super shots I needed to get the top, went for £70!

During this time, my pal was struggling with a Billy the Quid, he'd put £20 in but insisted that he left it there (low on funds, and didn't want to borrow from me, so...

Billy The Quid - £35
After £20 in, it offered me the £35 cash shot (!) I knew it was playing well, so left it and continued, taxi'd 3 times (!) to the two super shot square, and got a red BTQ, which shamefully, only went for the £35. Pressed on, and after another £30 in, got the red BTQ again, this time for the £70. (Had fingers crossed for the £105, but alas, it wasn't to be!)

Back across to the other pub to watch the second half of the football. Some fella was playing the LD and had pumped in £70 (as I was informed by my friendly barman!) The guy then left without looking back / finishing his pint, so I guess he'd run out of funds...

Lucky Devil - £35
If the guy had come back within my first £7 of credits, he would've been peeved! First board I pegged out with a £10 safe win. Immediately after that, I succesfully hi/lo'd enough nudges to bring in the £15. Long story short, gambled up to the top which done £70! ;)

Footy had finished, our livers were crying, so on to the kebab house (although I plumbed for a chicken burger! ;) )

Temple of Treasure - £15
Yeah! The memories came flooding back when I spotted this. Barcrest knew what they were doing around '99/'00. :) Ordered my nose-bag and popped up to play. Now two of the feature lights were bust (Hot Warrior and TOT) which was a bit annoying, as it offered me one of these first go. I checked from attract mode, and the red lamps were working on all of them, and as I couldn't hear the sound, that was useful, to say the least! The first feature it had offered me was Hot Warrior, never mind, but it gave me a £10 so I was happy with that. A few boards later I was offered 'Secret Passage' (Super Hold) and barcode was there. Now, shame on me I know, but I couldn't remember the 'Follow Me' code, so I think I hit 2-1-3 and got some hi/lo cash thingie, that paid me £9. I put about £10 more back in, and finally got the board I was waiting for. As I was dropping lettuce and sesame seeds every where, I gambled higher than a 3 which gave me a 10+bonus and lined me up with a feature exchange. Slight pause, then the lovely redness swathed across the feature board over to the TOT feature. Bang! £15, Repeat, Bang! £15, Repeat, Bang!, £15, Repeat, Bang!, £15!!! Bank chucked out £4 leaving me to collect the remaining £75... ;)

The great thing was, I only started off with £30 and ended up with just over £200*! And it's payday tomorrow... ;)

I always enjoy reading other peoples tales along this vein, so feel free to post 'em. ;)

*Rounds of beer must have certainly set me back a few bob... ;)

Right. Up town on sunday shopping with the wife. Nipped off at 12 to see if I could win some shopping money.

Pub 1

CCP £35
Little beauty this is. Always seems to be ready for me even though its on a shitty 72%. Didn't look particularly lively but didn't take too much to get the top. About £40 in and the top did £105  In 1 go.

Rovers Return £35
Great for a JP steal this is but this time was even better. rolled in a feature which had £10 on superhold, Another with £5 on SH, then to my amazement spun in a feature with JP on SH and started me with no features so lower than the 10 for JP. Still No lines so thought I'd carry on but it dropped in the wrong lines so had to do Roys Rolls which I'm hit or miss at. Thought I'd done the trick but the 2nd spin spun in nothing so only got £15 :( Carried on and it wasn't long before I got lines for another JP off Super SH

2nd Pub
Power 5 - Cost £10 to find it's been chipped so got £6 back

R2R - £3 for a feature and dead on 2nd gamble

3rd Pub
Jailbirds £35 JP
1st Feature built up everything pretty hi then landed on ? which gave a bonus which in turn gave Taxi to reach JP on the cash Stack. No repeat though for the 1st time ever on a £35 JP :( Next feature though gave £25 off the cashpot then Next feature £10 off lockbuster feature the 1 where you have 6 seconds to crack the code.

Show me the mummy £35 JP
Played with caution but looked in a decent mood. Broke the £5 on my 2nd board so decided to switch to megaspins and force.
End result 2 tops for £35 each and a bit of afters giving £85 for a stake of about £50

Manic Muncher £35 JP
Backing off the 1st quid so force was on. Thought i was gonna get stung as I was a good £40 into it and still not been offered anything really juicy but the top came after about £50 in and did a whopping £100 follwed next spin by another board for a £5 cashpot.

That was it then, Back to the wife and blasted some money on kids school stuff and treated her to some bits n bobs then off to the local for the Liverpool,Chelsea match.

But I wasn't quite finished. The local has only got a £5 JP in but just down the road is an Invincible so on the way home.

Pub 5
Invincible £35 JP
Now this was very srtrange. Notey was switched off and I don't use a refill Key so usually I just avoid them if theyre Red "X" but put a couple of quid in anyway. 1st Board ARB2. Well I thought have I caught the end of a streak or is it ready to drop. and more importantly if it does drop is there enough in it?
1st Top cost about £30 and did £35 but that was followed straight after by another top for £70. I then got an £8 nudge win, £7 red follow the pea and £10 win series. It was just off its rocker and payed out all of it too. Notey must have been broke.

Count up at home showed £335 profit. My new record :D

Right Tuesday night. nowhere near as good.
Pub 1
Vortex £35 JP
this is the only pub where this doesn't plat ball with me. Backing after £7 in but still costs £65 to get a £70 top. not much afters so left it £5 - £10 profit

Jailbirds £25 JP
Again not great results on this recently. 1st board £20 on cash stack but then ends up costing £45 to get the JP that doesn't reapeat. Seems to die but then get a £10 cashpot which I collect. Getting ready to leave it when it springs another JP via the cashpot £24.40. Lost about £10 in all

Caribean Cash £35 JP
Not impressed with what i've seen of this. Play for a feature and get £6 off the cashpot so walk away.

There also a OTB in there but I don't bother with it no more

Pub 2
On A Roll £35 JP
Not playing brilliantly but crack on with the force. Takes about £60 to get the £70 top followed by the sucker £15 on a 2 which I fall for and gamble and lose :x still managed a couple of features to make it £15 Profit

Now for the nasty machine of he night.
DOND WITB £35 JP
after about £15 in I got the dial on 3rd reel and took the phones. Took an offer of £12.70 with £35,£15,£6,£1 and 20p left and £35 was in my box :x went abit mad on it and lost £50 in total

Pub 3
Jailbirds £35 JP
1st board cashpot started on £5.70 so thought its worth a force. Well it took the p*ss for ages. Ended up costing £70 to get £70 from the heads then a couple of decent cashpots gave a £10 profit

DOND CYBTB £35 JP
Not much to say really lost £15

Pub 4
On A Roll £35 JP
Always pays this does and it was no different. Someone has vandalised the machine as the take feature button has been broken since I last played it on saturday. Cost £40 odd to send it off its rocker. £35 top follwed straight away with another £35 top. £15 nudge win collected £15 Nudge win collected £10 nearest bars £7 Toggle and 2 £5 safe cash's
Profit about £55

Jewel in the Crown £35 JP
1st board offered £8 on cashshotso forced. Cost £40 to get crazy reels for £35 followed by next board MS for £39 then died. Profit about £25

Pub 5
Cobra Cabana £25 JP
Didn't know how to play this so was looking for a steal and got it. Cost £10 to reach the £25 so colected rather than gamble for the top. Died straight after so walked

Sub Zero £25 JP
Backing of the 1st quid but as usual this thing took the p*ss. ended costing £60 to get the yeti's for £25 then next board got the yeti's again for £50

Pub 6
Coranation street £35 JP (BD Clone)
Backing after a tenner but took the p*ss big time. Cost £60 for a flat £35 MS then another £20 to get JP off super SH.

Got home and a count up showed £16 more than I left work with so all in all about £40 up.

Don't know your pesonal situation reagrding girlfriend/wife etc, but if that was me i would have popped over there and "showed" them how to win. Girls like nothing more than a hot man showing them how to make money. I know because i am Super Sexy.

Just simple things that they probably dont know, would amaze them. My personal favorite is the old two numberless fruits on the win line, and the third with a number 1. Trail is at 3rd position, machine offers hold. Hold all three of them for bonus, they will think you are a genious! :) (You are anyway, but they dont know this yet.) Of course, they will probably be more impressed with a full empty, but you must resist telling them these as you will make more the less people know. It's all about balancing the reward vs profit. :P

They would have know you were good, as i suspect they would have seen you win? Or did you put your hands over the payout tray? At the end of the day, with pratice, you can get the same "thank you sir rewards" from showing them the little tips anyway. After all, you have pratically given them £6, which you showed them how to win (and they will never forget what they need to do to win more £6s in the future), the least they can do is super nudge you! 8)

Heh, back in my 'single' days, I would have indeed approached them and 'positioned myself' for a possible boner-us. The fella who was with me was interested, but as soon as he'd upped the courage to go over, they were moving on. (lol!)

You should have asked them if there was room for 4 play, then told them all to hold their melons while you sidled into position with your plums showing, and then made up some pun to do with the name of fruit machine. It's a pity you weren't playing OPEN THE BOX, as I'm sure there's a juicy double-entendre in there somewhere for a man of your abilities MV.

As it was, you were playing Cock-a-Doodle-Dough..... hmmmmmm.... that's a tricky one. Can't think of anything remotely saucy .... best I can think of is Cock-a-Canoodle-Dough but that's not very good.
