I was playing Jailbirds in a pub in town. Anyway I took £70 last Friday and figured it would be full again after the weekend.
Went down after the end of the day yesterday bout 5:00 and the pub was quiet. Started to play and straight away the coins were dropping down the back and I was thinking it was full. Put £31 in and for £70 off the top. Anyway tried a few more to see if any afters would come but nothing. Although even after collecting it the coins were still dropping down the back. I didn’t want to thrown my winnings back in so I left £30 up. Do you think it may have gone again or given another jackpot?
Whats the deal when coins drop down the back? Does this just mean the hoppers are full and its ready to pay? Should I have carried on or did I do right thing?
I love this machine and especially this pub. It’s a nice little earner as its always full of city workers putting their money in.
Also found one in another big student pub in my town so that’s worth knowing for when the students return in Sept
had 2 campers near me in the last year that were constantly backing and just emptied in the end, not seen this on any other extreme but it sounds like yours is the same..... so beware.
There probably a problem with the hopper. Could be a coin slipped in awkward at the top so the coins are just slipping down the back. It'll probably get sorted when the machine finally emptys.

I'm really glad someone has mentioned this problem, because it's happened to me several times now, on 3 different Jailbirds machines.
You win something and the next coin backs ... and you're left standing there thinking, ".. hang on - that wasn't meant to happen .."
I also wish the hopper motor would sound a bit less feeble on the Extremes - they give you a feeling that they're about to jam all the time.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

It's a bit un-nerving to see the modern bucket hoppers so to speak. I think(!) the payout is a bit like a gun chamber with 6 holes? Holds 6, pays 3, spins and picks up 3, etc. Might hold more than that but i think thats sort of the gist of them? Maybe i've got it all wrong, as the rapid payout when you leave them would be hard to do with that sort of mechanism Someone help me!
