Red Light

Have mentioned this before but never found the answer. Not a problem just curious.

Does anyone know what the small red LED light is on the front panel of most machines.

I have a number of machines in different cabinets but all have this light near the pay tray or the refil lock.

Anyone know???

Not 100% sure, but I think its there to indicate the alarm is on.

My PCB has one, the wire goes to the bottom of the cab where there is a huge sticker saying "fit alarm here".

Yeah, I think your probably right. Don't think any of mine are connected.

I know all globals have them but not 100% sure what it means. I have keyed loads of globals though with this light and an alarm has never gone off.

red light indicates doors are secure
