Today i was passing a local arcade with a keying extreme and with only £3 on my it was almostly certainly gonna top the cash up.

Anyway on the last pound it finally held above the bonus but it seems the key switch had been disabled.

What i was wanting to know is how exactly the '5p' thing works, I had it somewhere before but cant find it.

Its actually a great thing that theyve done that come to think of it, it was usually pretty hammered and done every day, now its all mine :)

The 5 p thing is aloads of bollocks i think. I heard about it about a year and a bit ago, tried it and it never worked. Basiclaly instead of keying the m/c twice for a board you add two 5 ps. As the 5ps are put in the machine will flicker just like when you key it. This still happens but it doesn't give you the board though.

I remember seeing some guy do it with fivers, not 5ps lol!! It worked, but shoving £15 in for each board is a bit excessive! lol

You can note rip them to mimic the key action. Like MV says though, you need plenty of notes and it ain't worth it. Basically if it doesn't key, just use your loaf and set it up to take all the value out. Not that hard really...

No note changer no, anyway il try that and see what happens.

Il set it up obv but its a lot more efficient to key and set up :)

5p's work, but only on some of them wierdly enough, and it doesnt work every 5p you put in, just watch the trail held thing till it flicks and you know that 5p counted as a hold..

With notes you need to transfer 2 times for a board, so £4 not £15 matt!! if you put £5 in, it transfers once automatically, then you transfer again for another held, and there's your board.....

So basically you transfer 4 quid for a board which will prob go for 2-4 quid. You do this a few times... maybe make a few quid, maybe break evens. You are then left with loads of credits which when the m/c is nearly dead will take 7 quid for a 1,1,1 feature.

Sounds pretty pointless to me.

the thing is, if the machine has loads of value, you will need the credits anyhow, once it goes deader, your hoping that you get holds or natural cheap boards and you dont have to transfer, done them many times with notes, its certainly not pointless although obviously if you can get away with keying them/5p's then you wouldn't do notes

5P

The 5p did work on very early verions but I only found one as I had the information late (after the key was known).

I had good results on it by putting a match in the key hole so nobody else could key it. It's the first one I tried with the 5P and ironically the only one I ever found to work.
