my current list of machines with broken buttons is:

1.invincible with the first hold button works when it likes. [can't do number runner accurately]
2.invincible with the cancel button not working [cant take number runner on the slow down bonus]
3.most daunting with the nudges button not working [can't do nudge trick or collect any wins on nudges]
4.space raiders with the start button working once every ten presses [can't hit your skill shots or trail shots]

add to this an on a roll with most of its lights out for over a month in a spoons [very surprising there usually on the ball with any faults] and a crazy cash point that IOU'ed on me for £95 on friday night. anyone else having any trouble with f***ed machines??

Talking of number runner, I f***ed up the other day cos the buttons were sticky as f***. Please clean the machines. Something that should be added to the "To do" list of the cleaner or a competent landlord.

Actually, cleaner, if you know Vickers is coming in, dip your cloth in Guiness and wash the buttons, that will make them sticky for sure!

I have 3 30p/50p machines where the 50p button doesn't work :x
One just because it is stuck with so much beer but the other 2 (OAR + invincible) have never worked.
Anybody else has trouble with 50p buttons?

I have a pulsation nearby with a broken cancel button :(

i always use an ice cube on sticky buttons, just rub it all round the edge of the button till it becomes free, usually works

Nice idea Eddie I'll give that a go.
Machine is usually ready on 30p so with extra 6% hopefully a tidy win.

Watch me go lose £20 desperatley trying a dead machine!!!! :D

Had an Extreme last night with a broken Cancel/Collect button. It was off it's face, £4 starts. Pushed it, no repeat. Then managed to rip loads of cashpot wins from the superboard to build the bank up to £43 for £20 in. Then had to let it autopay.

I have an Invincible with a broken 'lo' button on the cash side - which means you have to play it out on the nudge side (praying for it to go IM) or hope for a £10 nudge win on a 3, and win two gambles going higher.

Very annoying.

Also collect button seems to have been deliberately set to jam down on a sub zero so that it will strart paying out the bank if it gives you safe prizes. :?

It doesn't 'arf fill up again quickly! Problem is, that every time people get a £4/£5 nudge win on a 10, they try going lower, realise they can't and collect it. The streak builds up on this machine by ensuring that people lose that particularly tempting gamble (aswell as others, of course). It's almost as though it has a safe cash option.

Obviously not one to try unless it's VERY red... but it will fill the name as often on the Nudge side as it does on the cash side.
