justr curious if anyone watched the program on bbc one tonight.quite scary to see the amount of money people were willing to gamble and even seemed happy too loose.saw bloke win $5000 on a video fruit machine.$90 a spin.just curious if anyone else saw it and what they thought

Yeah i saw it, was amased that people had like a vacation from their normal everyday jobs, lose 300k in 3 days and then still smile and be happy!

I watched that, always liked Louis Theroux anyway.

RE that guy, why wouldn't he just admit how much he'd lost! He just skirted round and round the question which was amusing. The other blackjack guy looked like he could kill as well after all his losses!

ditto. louis theroux is very good at considered bemusement.
i liked the way he tried to get the fatter IT guy to try and wind up his mate with the goatee. he was seeting, and he wasn't best pleased when the croupier gave him a yellow card. i thought that the old girl was pretty clued up, a tragic waste of life but she knew what she was doing, just clever editing.

Yeah, good programme, I have the utmost respect for Louis Theroux too. Really wanted to know how much the blackjack guy lost; he was the most interesting character of the lot as he's the only one who showed emotion. His mate was down about $4-5k but becuase he himself has lost SO much more, he was still loving it; taking the piss out of him.

Thank god our standard arcades don't have those $5k machines (I guess the JP on that machine was actually a lot Higher than 5k, that was just a good spin)

Yeah that guy who had come with his mate was hilarious - all that bullshit about how he knew how to play, and he made 10k in his first night etc - it was brilliant how the camera kept catching him from a distance, lurking around and getting visibly more and more frustrated.

I think she was spouting bs to be fair to her.

If she was as serious a gambler as she was making out, she wouldn't have got excited about winning $100 (say £55 odd) on a slot machine! I've probably played the fruits here for a fraction of what shes gambled, and i don't bat an eyelid at say a £75 top on a red. It's so routine there's no need to get worked up about it.

She was a big old addict. A crappy tiny house etc said all i needed to know about her. Says she wasn't an addict yet she goes in there every day. Denial or what...

yeah, very good point about getting excited, although perhaps she was trying to make it more exiting for Louis "see; you CAN win you know!"

and yeah, that blackjack guy who said the odds WEREN'T against him cos he knew how to play.

no way the old bint made her money OFF fruits! cos if she was ever a 'pro' she would never have become a $4M loser unless she won one of the HUGE jps over there, which she didnt, cos it would have been mentioned.

i wasnt suggesting thats how she won it i would just like 2 know how i mean was she a high class escort i think not. Her son was a loser look 40+ living at home while his mom goes and spends all day losing in the casino.

Did any see the program with the sihk(SP) guy when he went to vegas 2 meet some on the poker champions and he tried a game on and reality tc show and was out in about 20 mins?
