Refill day can be whatever day the pub wants it to be, as often as they want - there isn't a 'National Refill day'!

As fo rthe police, thats highly unlikely unless you get some numpty landlord that thinks you are cheating the machine or something. Most landlords frown on it though and wouldnt be best pleased if they saw you doing it.

I stay as 'pally' as possible with the staff in ALL the pubs I regularly hit - you simply cannot walk into the majority of pubs and walk straight up to the fruity.

I don't want staff thinking it's all I'm there for - I wanna make them feel like a valued regular... any landlord worth their salt knows that in the long term the fruities are going to be profitable. Yes, there're some places where you CAN get away with not buying a drink - usually Wetherspoons - and anywhere so busy on a Friday or Saturday night that no-one really knows whether you're coming or going. But in general terms, don't push your luck or you'll find yourself with a reputation you don't want.

With regard to keying - you've really gotta be a clever judge of whether or not you're 'safe' to key.

> Who else is able to see the machine?
> Where are the staff and can they see you keying?
> Are there any cameras covering the area?
> Are there any sharkers behind you?
> Can you key the machine in one movement, or are you gonna need to do it in stages? ie. Insert key really quickly; play a couple of credits; collect a couple of quid and quickly turn the key whilst picking the coins up...

You gotta be very careful or risk losing a regular pub!

Agree with nixxy. NEVER make it seem like your in a pub just to play the fruity, okay so there are exceptions, after a couple of visits you get to know wether they mind or not. Try not to always typically buy a coke.

I like to play mind games and get different stuff everytime if its a not-so-busy-daytime pub., so they wont remember you as "the guy who always get a half coke and drops the fruity"

Also, try to distinguish between owners and bar staff. Owners are the ones who want to know whats going on in there pub and take note of who comes in etc, Bar staff just want their next ciggy break and often dont give 2 shites, so if they're on, coke's away !

Keying is easy, easily done on all cabinets n one swift motion with practice.

Agreed, but not always crucial. Dont forget if the note changers got a red X then the hoppers got less than £50 left in it. I only sometimes key and really only key machines that i key daily to keep eye on the ins and outs.

I have made great profit off machines with noteys when they are off, people just use them for change.

Or put £20 note in get a board collect £3 and collect all the £1 coins out

Got less than 100.

ON a 250 hopper the notey switches off at 151 coins off full.

Hada DNA alarm once when the notey turned on as I put the 150th coin in.
