Now yes I am a newbie and have browsed your forum religiously over the last few days (using search and alike) and look forward to sharing my (probably limited comparing to you lot) knowledge with you!

Anyway, out on the razz at the weekend, went in this bar that we don't go in too much cos its a bad shoody! 2 bandits- one that I never seen before in my life and it weren't a new un, my mate goes on it..

Hi and low buttons were on different way round as in low on the left and hi on the right. Just assumed that some joker had swapped the buttons around as we've had this before.

He soon found out when he pressed the normal high button on a 3 and it gave him a ten and he 'lost' that it wasn't the case.

Wasn't a new looking machine, trust me. Old trick by the manufacturers that's passed me by or what?

Beat me to it!

All i can think of is AFU too. Old cabinet and bubble cabinet, both are the wrong way round. Can't see why they've done it to be honest!

when the newer cabs came out (with the stupidly oversized buttons), a few had them the other way around, got slaughtered and were changed back

Did get caught out with the back too front buttons at first on a AFU after playing vamps for so long, its just second nature now.

agree that i can't see the point, maybe its just to catch everyone out at least once.

Cheers, I just need to get better on the names now fellas, as I say it wasn't a new one by any means.

Off to local to play Pink Panther and stack attack (if they open that room) tonight. Then up road to play Bullseye and Bling! Only one offering any hope normally is PP, especially cos the bar at the latter two doesn't give out change!

Yeah AFU is the only one i know. When these were first released i remember going higher than a 11 when it was buzzing, too my surprise it killed me even though i thought i went lower and the number reel went to a 7. To my surprise though, when i looked the buttons were the wrong way, not sure why they have done this. Anyone have any ideas?

I think ignoring experience on a fruit machine, I would EXPECT the lo to be to the left simply as we read left to right and If i'm looking at a 3, I would picture higher numbers to be to the right....
