Are you lot on here serious players who are always up, or just bad fruit machine addicts who seem to hae to justify thier addiction by claiming to be up all the time?[/code]

Erm, er...

...er, erm...

I think it was stated in another thread that you started that everyone loses now and again. It's just 'most of us on here have found ways to minimise losing - which in it's self leads to a better chance of making a profit.

Not many of us on here are full-time players - I'll say I've even cut down from my once-a-week jaunt now, as the machines that I'd play have been replaced by ones that I wouldn't. If I was an addict, I'd be there playing any machine going, just to try and 'win'.

The key is discipline and not playing a machine just because it is there.

I'd say there's a range of 'player-types' on here, right from the amateur, through to casual, through to semi-pro and then pro and then...

...addict. (Which is not exactly on the same scale as the other 'types', if you are in this category, then nothing else matters.

I'd place myself into a slot between casual and semi-pro. As in, I know what I'm doing, but it's not my sole source of income (I've infact got a very good programming job that I've had, and progressed up, for the last 4 years). Fruity playing is just a part of my life that I enjoy now and again as a bit of a release from day-to-day 'fun'. If I mkae any profit, I usually spend it all on family treats or 'rounds' between mates. But if I do lose, it's not going to affect any other part of my life, as the money is only set aside to use for fruiting if it's not needed anywhere else.
An addict would see his family eat nothing so he could have the last of the shopping money o thump into a machine. I feel that 99.99% of members here DO NOT fall into this category...

...Just my 2p worth! ;)

...Shit, could've put that in a 2p-pusher and won 10p to try in a 5p/£5 Fruit...

...Damn!

(LOL!)

:)

In fact there's probably no-one on here like that! Agree with what Matt says about addicts though. They'll just play anything to get a fill, regardless of whether the machine is good or not.

If i don't have say £150-£200 i won't even bother playing stuff!

True, I didn't want to say 100% though, just didn't feel comfortable with it for some reason... ;)

I used to lose, obviously i'll lose the odd 10, 20 pound when a chase goes wrong or something, but usually i'll know when to stop, and as i'm doing this full time I have to be disciplined. Addicts are everywhere, they are how I make my money! :D

No-one can win on every machine but its how you finish up on the day, as a full timer you have to know when to carry on and when to walk, and thats the difference between a player and someone who plays on for the hell of it.

Are you a full time player? How much do you expect to win in one day?

I know its not to me but i'll answer, atm i'm kinda having to live on the fruits, as I can't find a job, not ideal, but it's keeping me. I'm making around about 200 a week atm, I don't go out playing everyday, and I don't travel enough but i'm living. To be honest, if I wasn't such a party animal, and heavy drinker, i'd have alot more money to my name. Some days i'm 100+ up, other days i'm a few quid down, it's all what I have at the end though that worrys me.

As far as i know, s34's are just your fruit machines. FOBTs are Fixed Odds Betting Terminals, such as video roulette in a bookies.
