Ok i need some advice...
I've heard all the arguments to how random these machines are and i'm still in 2 minds...
Basically i've been in my local arcade today and they have a 'high roller' £500 JP, i'm not quite sure who makes it but it's just poker with a big wheel at the top.
Anyways, last week a regular lost £2,500 and the largest win he had was £100.
The week before someone else lost 4k and never got more than a £150 win, and the arcade staff who are 100% genuine have told me that it's had over 13k since it's last jp, and in the last 2 months no-one has come away from it with a profit!
So yesterday i lost £200 and today another £400...
My question is

:
Is it any more likely to pay out now than it was 2 months ago?
I want to go back tomorrow for revenge but don't fancy spending another day throwing my money away!
Any advice would be appreciated

The 13k with no pot just shows you how random they are. I wouldn't bothe with them mate. All i do is chuck a quick £2 in them if i've won something in the hope of spawning a win. Other than that i wouldn't bother.

horror? imagine being £400 down with £20 left on you and an already maxed out bank card for the day. do i? dont i?
did in the end and spawned JP. only time i have mind. they can be very frightening but sometimes rewarding too.

Well i've decided to have one last go with a tonne, if it goes, it goes
I've played it loads of times before, one week i lost £2,300 and another i won £1,700 off a tenner, i just hate the randomness as i've always been one for chasing my money, and even though i know there's not much point i still do it on these

ops:
I've had the machine reserved from 3pm today until 1pm tomorrow so i suppose i should go back in, the owner wouldn't be happy if i didn't :P
Oh and Bigv038, it's in wigan.... a little arcade called moneypennies, chances are none of you will have ever heard of it.

Id say a ton would be about right, could get lucky.
13k without a pot sounds a bit steep, but i guess it can do a few to make up. Leave it after that id say.
Bet you wish you could play on £5 a go

Funnily enough, when he first bought the machine £5 option was available, and he was apparently unaware it was illegal in arcades, it lasted a few weeks before he was busted... someone who'd lost must have reported him
Anyways, today!
I went in with £200, first tenner went in and i got a £250 win
I played on until it reached £280 then i didn't know what to do!
So, while i was making my mind up, i stuck the reserves back on, and went in the kiddies section with my brew and had a wonder around...
I decided to play one of my fave machines 'supercharged' 10p play £8 JP... 90 mins later i came off it with a feckin £60 loss!!!
It was just giving one JP then taking £15 for another, constantly.... anyways, i was annoyed with myself so decided to go back on high roller
I finished up another hour later with £350 and cut my losses, if i didn'](probably)[/size]

Do they seriously reserve a machine for 22 hours?! That's crazy - imagine if everyone did that - you could walk into arcades and find no-one in there but no machines available to play.
In terms of takings, that's gotta be the daftest thing an arcade owner could do, surely!

surely looking after your regulars is a good thing for the arcade too tho

The reason it was changed from 5 a go was because it was then emptiable
The rechip removed thaat stake option.

Bloody typical!
The owner always reserves for me, i've been going in since i was 12, he even buys me lunch, Although... i could have bought a far better one with the money i spent in there!
I left there at 3pm yesterday and i said "i may be back tomorrow depending if my other half lets me"
He said "ok, i'll reserve it until 2pm, if you're not in and someone wants to play i'll have to let them" but if it's quiet he will leave them on all day!
At the end of the day he wants me back in! But i aint bitin this time! :x
