Look at the lower glass of Pure Gold. Under the reels. 4 in view starts "INNNER" board.

The only company to take spelling and grammar seriously was Barcreast. When they still made reel based games, they put a system in place which would actually detect, in real time, any spelling mistakes which occurred on the LED. If a mistake was detected, the machine would freeze with the spelling mistake still showing, and no more credits could be played, or money collected/inserted. Even if the machine was switched off, it would still come back on with the error displayed. The idea behind this was that the machine would have to be removed, and a new program with the correct spelling and grammar could be installed.

Most of the times I witnessed these typographical errors was when the machine should have displayed Jackpot on the LED, but instead, and most bizzarly, 'Critical Error' was displayed. The machine would freeze as previously stated, and usually be taken away and replaced within a few days.

Some people speculate that it was the sheer number of spelling mistakes Barcrest machines were making at this time that indeed led to the company ceasing to build reel based games.

Games such as Alien and Leprechauns Gold were well renound for these spelling mistikes, and even once the software had been updated to the second version, they were still prone to the same errors. The first versions of Rainbow Riches, Star Wars, Rob Da Bank, Take it or Leave it, Oche Oche Oche, and Al Murrys were also games with the Jackpot spelling error.
