Good manners

Cost nothing they say.

All well and good in polite society, but I'm coming around to a different way of thinking.

I was brought up by parents and teachers to say please, thankyou, may I? Etc etc

However in some of the establishments we visit, speaking in this manner is highly suspicious.

Each situation has its own merits, but I find sometimes foregoing conventional manners and using first names gets a warmer response than a formal, possibly awkward 'may I?' 'Please' 'would you be so kind as to?' Etc
In other words, Sergeant Wilson from Dad's Army/The Governer from Mr. Bridgers prison(?) in TIJ would be absolute fire.

OI! Babs/love/duck/Jackie/Brenda/Bob/chuck/twatface change these NOW!!!

Thankyou for reading.
