Hello there.
I work for a company which specializes in a range of machines. Some of which include paragons (SWPs). We have a range of field engineers that service the machines on an as-when basis. The problem is, that due to lack of communication when a paragon machine goes down or needs servicing, we are finding that the black dongles which come with the machines are often swapped out, so the dump codes are a miss-match, and it's basically impossible for us to tell which line a dongle belongs too (We are hopefully going to swap them all back to the originals).
I was wondering if there was a way to open up the black dongle (I have both available in-workshop on a Windows XP Based operating system) and view the hex inside, so we can get in contact with the correct people to assist in finding out the dump code/machine line so we can finally swap these back to the originals?
Problems with Paragon Black Dongle
best bet would be to give gameswarehouse a ring and ask for assistance,
i dont understand why the black dongle would be removed from a machine at all, i have never seen a faulty one...
a common fault with these machines is the dongle twin socket adaptor going faulty.
easiest way to get round this is by popping the button out of its plastic cover and popping them straight into the rs232 adaptor.
do this with the black and green dongle on every machine and it will save a shitload of problems.
also a good idea to use a marker pen to mark the buttons, g=green b=black , seeing as the buttons look identical with their covers..
