the future of machines

Post by Max »

ok so ive been thiking about this for a while, but how long will it actually be before a fruity takes debit cards? i can understand the arguemtn for losing your entire savings, but they could put a limit on the amount you can take off your current account.

it astounds me that they havent doen this already - maybe its cos the actual feelin of winning the pund coins makes players feel better - or something psycholoigcal like that?

and my other thought - this ight sound a bit way-out - but they could even have cameras in the top of the machines that recognise the cureent players and adapt the style in which th emachine plays. if it knows you as a regular player it could tighte/loosen up according to how its float is doing for the day!

any thoughts?

I doubt the camera thing would work - it could record you yes, but be able to look at whos playing and remember who you were? Even it did work - i imagine you could easily fool it by putting on a hat or even wearing different coloured clothes. One thing it could do though, is be able to tell when a new player is on the machine. That way, if someone is forcing, the machine could decide to just keep sucking his/her money until they finaly leave, and then when the new person comes on, dump it all within £1. That would be hilarious!

As for direct debit - online casinos already do!

It would never get passed by any government, so its a dead question really.

it has been talked about by bacta.

they dont want to do this as it would "encourage gambling addiction".

just imagine the fraud that would go on with it too... card skimmers and all sorts. it will never happen on such low security machines. Just imagine an emptier getting you 1000's! no physical coins to mess with either. ah that would be nice
