Hello there I'm new to these forums and work at my local weatherspoons, I work a lot of opens and as part of my job I have to fill up the machines and have my own keys. I have been playing them a while but I have a lot to learn my first question is.
If a machine needs filling up by let's say £10 or nothing at all does this mean it's ready to drop?
And last would it be a good idea to take my keys to the local Hollywood bowl were they have a lot of £100 machines out of site ?
And how would I determine which ones are most likely to drop while using my key ?
Any help is much appreciated :)

if you work in a wetherspoons then all od your machines will probably use note recyclers.
shouldn't have to top up much in the way of coins at all..

anyways, hopper level is not a reliable way of gauging whether a machine is ready to pay out or not.

Hopper level is just a minor indicator as to a machine's readiness to pay. Hollywood Bowl refill multiple times a week. Note recyclers mean a machine is more likely to be left full having paid over percentage. Plus you have issues surrounding the use of the key outside of your workplace - don't be seen using it if you can help it. £100 jackpots as a rule are a bit more volatile.
Overall I would say it is a waste of your time using the key.

So would it be a good idea an when I use them let's say the machine has £280 in and the last win was £0 would it be a good idea to play that machine?

Try to avoid playing machines in public places. The general public will assume you have a gambling problem and pass horrible critical judgements. Playing fruit machines is for weirdos. Drink some beer or eat a microwaved meal instead. If you're in a bowling alley wear clown coloured slippy shoes. Avoid playing fruit machines at all costs.

In answer to a previous question, I often keep my refill keys in pot pourri to ensure the best refill key odour.

how can the hopper level mean the machine is going to drop if you float them everyday lol
