Walking home from a mates, went in my local for a 'swift half' tried YDD, 16 for 37, tried Cobra Cabana...40 for 75, This is class!!!
Carried on walking, thinking my lucks in, took a little detour via a round the bend hit. Was 1, 1, 1ing. Somehow come away a tenner up, nudge tricked 6 quid, it doesn't key btw.
Walked home a different way than I ever have before, and see a random pub, look in and a Legal Tender is attracting me. Went in, 5 in 60 out! WOW! Also a nice getting ziggy with it was playing well for a quick cashpot and fast cash steal. Left my mates with 42 quid, now got a nice 180! And I seriously wasn't walking home intending to play fruits!!

Hmmm and you are who? I'm far from addicted, if I was addicted i'd do this day in day out, without even thinking about it. I'd be in debt, i'd be borrowing money I can't pay back.

Look whos talking ^^^
I tell myself i'm not, I do smoke though and am addicted to that. I love to go out playing fruit machines but only at the weekend. Sometimes go out every other week in the evening.
Funny thing is, if I had the choice, I would chuck in the cigs before I quit the fruitys

Joe, I far from played every fruit on my way home, I played every fruit where I thought profit was available. I play fruits for fun and for profit, I don't play fruits because I feel I have to.

The subject to this thread is strange
"Winning when you dont mean to"

:
I know you took a different route home and all that but when you entered the pub and decided to play the fruity you wasn't planning to lose was you?
You then went to other pubs just for fruit machines?
I thought it was going to be something like " I popped into a pub and put my beer change into the fruity and it streaked for £75"
enough of that rant well done anyway regardless if it was planned or not

It's just that I would usually go out to play machines, whereas I was just walking home and thought i'd try a few, never intended to win like I did.

Well in all fairness, you did go into those pubs to just to play the fruits. So what they said has some point.

I think theres a huge margin of "when someone is addicted" in terms of playing fruit machines....But certainly your pointers that you suggested crosby of not being massively in debt etc. Are not the only indicators of whether gambling is becoming an issue for someone or not.
The point is you passed pubs and went in purely to play the fruities, almost "playing for the sake of it" and they were not even pubs that you knew.
BUT
even more than that, this is not a website for people to point fingers and say "ADDICT" so i dont really see the point of what Joe was saying. This is a community forum and if someone wants help, or suggestions it is readily available. But i dont think that it is on for people to start claiming Who has got their game under control and who hasnt.
Crosby, good work for the win, but I will say from previous personal experience, that when you start passing places and want to go in, purely to play the fruity, with a pretty small float, its pretty risky.
I personally dont think anyone has the right on here to be making the kind of claims in question, especially when you dont even know the individual in person.
King.
P.S And no Joe, this isnt a crack at you...I just find this an interesting topic, and im only stating my opinion....i have no grief with you.

My comment was more a general one to be honest, id imagine alot of the people on here are addicted in one way or another, varying levels etc.
I dont mean to be disresepectful to the site or its members,by saying that either, as i like reading the posts and some things ive read have been informative.
Just my opinion i suppose?

Of course, but it depends how you would class an addict.
I would say i'm not an addict, but others might see it differently. I live a few miles away from any decent playing spots (town/megabowl) so unless im meeting anyone or getting a lift there, i don't play. Sure, its nice to get down there and have a play, but the thought of biking 30mins to find every machine dead just turns me right off the idea.
