New Deal Or No Deals

Post by barneybear »

Hi all

Not posted in here for donkeys - but with the introduction of the £100JP I thought I would stop by to gauge opinion etc.

A pub near to me has a couple of new DOND units - POWERPLAY and TURBO DOND

Just wondered if anyone had had any experience on these units?

Hope everyone is well :)

Gash, gash and more gash. Highly controlled, uninspiring dull game play.
Fancy a DOND game ??? At best It'll have £40 off you and count yourself lucky.
Fancy a decent COB ?? Get down the local cafe then.
Thank fuck this has only ever been a side line for me. I don't even fancy stepping out the door after work these days.

Bring back £25 AWP's!!!!!, nothing can beat ready2Rock, Fireballs, Vamps, Supercharged, money laundry, vivids, ViVIDS, that barcrest with the good times free win, that barcrest where u got the 5th feature up worth £3 went against the number and it span in the JP. italien jobs, Revs, mother fooking extremes, the first 3 deal's, JPM's, classy REDS - that one with the aliens, oh - Cash Explosion + clones, and a shit lot more - if you had a job back then you were do-in-it-wrong.

Going out with a £100 float, comming home with 200-600 and watching that bank balance go up daily, having a cig go whilst playin then relaxing at a casino after pubs close playing Golden Games and any the like just for shit n giggles and STILl making more and more money. actually needing skill and getting a buzz from hittin JP's - Now we shouldn't be to hard on today's state of things because (drum roll.....) we have DONDS in every pub we hit!

Yeah haha, what happened to barcrest anyway? They used to be the TOP DOG! They only released one amazing 70jp and the other was a bit of cloned alien of the 35 version which set off many alarms from the megastreaks which had power issues at one point. Still had a good skill feature none-the less but their demise seemed to start at the end of the 25jps.

Reds were great up until a year after the 70's came out, they certainly took me nicely through the entire £35jp lifespan.

A shame then to a truly great and innovative gaming group. The industry is not in a great place from a players perspective (a lot of travelling needed for whats left and the risk of getting sucked into a dond like game thats on the take), although new reds might have potential if they remove the Cashpot safes, stay away from 5liners, and don't focus on dond like features.

There's just no skill and everything is put on a plate to punters with most games having collect on ?'s. I've been spending a lot of time at home with the mrs recently playing Mmo video games and watching good tv like game of thrones. Going out a couple times a week if that to do valorious Ina city routes for mists, workin cp's, 8's etc. really enjoying all the free time in any case so I'm not to fussed right now.

Back on DOND topic - played the Turbo last night. Got the game after about a tenner and had £3 in the box. The good thing thouhg is it lets you turbo gamble your win on the phones board - so I gambled £3 to £4 - £4 to £8 - £8 to £15 - £15 to £25 and to my amazement it then gambled from £25 to £100!! My first £100 jackpot too :)

Be warned Turbo can take £250 or so to land that particular gamble even if offering Deal after just a few quid in!

I spent over 3 hours on one the other day and it is a machine I will never play again. BORING!

There's potential in this game. Still yet to find one but should undoubtably make getting JP easier if the box is still random aswell. If only you could open the dond every game once its there...

The box is so blatantly not random it's not funny.

Heavy weighting to low boxes!!!!! Try getting the mega game. See how often it pits in 6/8/10/15 vs 25/50/pot/100!!!
