doesnt matter if it alarms,TheMission wrote:For those of you that can't read a post from a machine programmer...![]()
Their software can only use the data that is actually sent from a machine, and the data that is actually needed from a machine to fulfill the BACTA minimum requirement is a fraction of the full spec.
The minimum requirement does not include any machine alarm condition.
The 'refill' aspect only refers to refilling via the mech (which never happens). There is no message to indicate the refill key being turned.
This is what I was saying to a work mate today.Dunhamzzz wrote:could be easy to hack. uses a bluetooth connection which could easily be compromised if the right person was doing it.
you could see the machines whole history if you could! even see how much the last person put in
they could even make a program that accesses it via application that could work on a mobile phone operating system.
not a geek, just that mobile phone applicatinos used to be my domain!
And to do that you'd have you be continuously monitoring the comms from a RAM reset onwards, because the 'running' £in/out are not figures transmitted.SteveV2 wrote:This is what I was saying to a work mate today.Dunhamzzz wrote:could be easy to hack. uses a bluetooth connection which could easily be compromised if the right person was doing it.

If these could be picked up via a mobile or pda, if hackable you could see what % the machine is running at (£in and £out), and over the long term would be better than any refil key. I'm guessing this would clock up notes and silver along the way and would spell the end of the "I bet this machine was refilled" situations![]()
