Well at least they still recognise you as the cool guy in good shape in the Armani top. Legal action? Nah, your word against their word. This bickering is a bit bizarre, you two obviously have history.

I don't have history with that prick but he will be history if he carries on taking swipes at me.

It is not a word vs word case, the evidence is in their stupid posters which are effectively written accusations of something I didn't do! Surely this is the same as being pictured in newspapers and accused of doing something you didn't!?

If they don't kow your name and address then you are at least a bit anonymous. You could always write to their "Data Controller" and ask what personal information they have on you. They are legally obliged to let you know, within reason. That would mean providing your personal details, which isn't the best move.

The problem is you don't hold any evidence other than what you have seen. If it was in the newspaper, it'd be easy to obtain this poster. I could see such a minefield with this. Firstly you have to prove these posters exist. Secondly you have to prove they were used in a slanderous way, rather than just as a means of protecting a business. Thirdly who are you taking legal action against? If it gets messy Agora (if they still existed) would just put the blame on the relevant staff memebr and say they were acting out of procedure. Perhaps you could chase this Brenda? But then she'd deny all knowledge of anything important. Unless it's a very high profile/serious crime case, how are you going to get evidence? Recently a vague distant associate of mine was involved with a spot of bother relating to a 'software manipulation'. The legal system is not really geared up to these sorts of highly complex machine cases. You do get specialists in certain types of fraud, but very very very few people in the general populus could even begin to comprehend what you were on about with skill quest roulette. Yes I see why you're angry. It's a degree of ignorance from several people that causes you inconvenience and financial loss. However this happens a lot with barrings, aggro and hassle and is part of being a player. If you took action when they actually had posters of you in the shops and photographed their premises with these posters and had a good enough resolution to see the slanderous text then just maybe you may have got somewhere. But now? I think you have to suck it up and move on. If you're still really bitter and want vengeance get the old itching powder/stink bombs/Ebola vials/Nuclear bombs and find this Brenda.

I don't wish to sound unsympathetic, we all sympathise, we've all been wrongly maligned and treatly as scum when we've done NOTHING wrong whatsoever. It sucks, but isn't it somewhat a waste of energy getting too angry about it?

They used to have this poster up in the Southall branch of Agora but that was in 2009. Other shops had it inside a folder they kept which no one was allowed to see but they would produce it when I'd come in. When I went to the solicitors all those years ago I had a copy because I took 1 from Southall. It got to the point where people would recognise me in the pubs in Southall and say I'm the guy in the poster!

The point here is, really and truly, it was a BLOODY SKILL GAME! Staff were obviously thick and uninformed, did not understand, whatever - but that's not my fault!

My biggest ticket was £1285 for £2 in. Had a few over a grand, a few high hundreds, usually from the first few hits of each shop.
