Post by cloud9 »

Checked over 50 pubs today with a little help from a friend and found hardly any new playables is it as bleak out there for everyone else as it is me?

It's the independant ones or village/out of town ones that only have good/half decent stuff these days.

Town centre ones and/or chain pubs are packed full of shit in 99% of cases.

its no good just relying on old games relegated down to the crap pubs though ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ok on the plus side these estate shitholes seem to keep things for an age ,,,, but your generally more likely to get 1hit wonders and ''locals'' fire

More new stuff need to come out for older things to fade out again. A hell of a lot off machines will need to come out to water down the shite to hell hole pubs put it that way.

i think a lot of us are awaiting whatever change the 100's may bring

there may be a small honeymoon period of slippery oversight , with the odd empty , but the industry as a whole is a much tighter ship nowadays , surely it can only be a matter of time before all the machines adopt an always connected online infastructure , with software ''chip'' download to every unit , with no hidden straglers slipping through the net ,

this time around ,,,,,, more than ever , a lot will depend on players (myself included ) keeping our mouths closed , and treating anything we do get with the utmost respect , taking small unnoticable amounts will be paramount. as technology and self checking analysis will surely be a part of the future of gaming .
with any manipulation of percentage on any feature getting flagged and uploading to hal.

as usual the players with the ingenuity to work things out for themselves , or those closest to the programmers/top of the info chain should still carve a decent living , especially if the current model (percentage based) of gaming is left intact .

the gap is going to get a lot wider for the rest of us , the pro player base WILL diminish in size as the technology forces more of us into conventional employment .

im under no illusion as to which group i will be in ,,,,,,,,,,,, see you down the jobcentre.
