Between myself and a friend we named over 150 people who play fruits full time for a living. How many would we guess there are in the UK? I'm gonna make a conservative estimate of 700. Not counting the part timers (Lee)

i count 75 players from my neck of the woods,

Is this gonna lead to some kind of charts/ranking?

Who's number one this week on "Top of the Slots".

What's your point NB, or is this just a census?

Glendales trained up 699 of them.

Rather a pointless topic isnt it? There's loads of players, more than there ever has been....

Doesn't that sum it up?

Why can I not reply on iPad but yet iPhone is working? Anyway I think lee should be counted as a player, part timer or not. The point is he is ACTIVATED and therefore we count him as a BONUS player. If I get the Flo for a week then I may not be too 'andy in terms of covering my routes. However I am still ZONE ACTIVE so you should count my EXTRA LIFE and not be too hasty to STEP me off the planet. Right I'm going to conservatively BOOST that total up to 701. Ignore OB, it's a brilliant thread. There has been a board fault and all the people whose names begin with O are linked. That was OSCAR posting on OBs account. BANG. END.

I'd say more than 700, the word player can mean different things.

I would say over 1000, probably over 2000. I wonder how many think they are God or at least the best fruit machine player on Earth?

I would be very surprised if there were as many as 700 people or even half that number who do it as their principle job and receive no state benefits.

I've seen more than 700 pass through my local wetherspoons over the years and I guess they all have limos waiting for them outside while they play.

Whats the criteria needed to be called a player?

A certificate of pass from Glendales school of fruit tricks, Rubber stamped from the N.B.A.F.M.P.C. (Noels Beard Accredited fruit machine player club). Then all you need is a phonebook to store the millions of contacts you're going to pick up, some form of transport and a float (circa £250-£300).

That's it you can now call yourself a 'player'.
