Been out from 9 this morning just pulled up at my mates house when police pulled me. Searched my car asked me were I'd been. I said were I had been. They were questioning why I just said for a day out. When they come across bag off 300 coins the cuffs were straight on. Locked us both up. I had 2000 total on me because my mate owed me some off booking holidays. When cuffs was on I then explained what I do etc. one hour later they let me out and my car is outside the station. You could tell they had been right through it. Let us out after an hour didnt even interview us. First and last time for me hopefully. Got all money back etc.
Kept it brief just thought I'd post what happened.

at least they had the sense to realise they were wasting their time after an hour and let you go with your cash rather than confiscating it all pending months of pointless 'investigation'

Go back to the station they took you and ask for the numbers of the officers in question, sure they should give you them. Worth a try if nothing else, may as well give them the hassle they gave you.

They are only doing their job, they are allowed by law to Stop and Search anyone.
