Signing Out In Style

Post by barneybear »

Lads/Lasses

Everyone knows im no 'player' - but I do like to come on here for the banter and to learn what to avoid/target - I would say the site has saved me a lot of money over the years! So thanks!

However, the most recent fruit machine offerings, I am finding simply unplayable. Every cashpot near to me (Blackpool) is at £70 - but all on units such as Happy Hour, Lady Luck, Alics, Treasure Island Call of Booty. Coupled with things like Jailbreak, Bank Job Gold I am just not enjoying playing anymore and Im losing a lot of money because I just dont have the skill set on these things I guess.

So, after doing some work in Cleveleys, and having just taken a 70 pot on Seal The Deal (repeated to £140 off a tenner), I am going to cut my losses and TRY to sign off on a high. Weve just had our baby boy (3 months early) and the mrs needs some one better than a 30 year old with a good job but addicted to fruit machines!

Really hoping I can stick to my guns, any tips/advice on how to beat the bug would be greatly appreciated!

Here goes!

visualise some losses and think what you could do for mrs and child with the money instead, you'll soon see.

You've been through a lot , all the best for the future.

Having a premature newborn should be enough to keep you occupied.

If not, Gamcare.

All the best Barney, focus all your attention on the baby and it'll be a doddle.

I lost my addiction to fruit machines years ago. I can honestly say if I had a job that paid £1000000000000 and I had surplus cash coming out of my eyeballs, I'd never touch a fruit, no matter how big the jackpot. They are as appealing to me as an office job.

Pity the same hasn't happened regarding horse racing, FOBT's and casinos...

Wishing you and the family the very best Barney - I like and admire the sound logic you've applied to the situation. Been 'triffic reading your posts over the last few years and hope you'll pay us the odd visit from time-to-time.

Not often Noel has said '..the next one!...' on a CP box over the years, but something tells me you'll remember that last one fondly.

Best wishes!

I went deep into a deal today, escaped -£220ish... can only blame myself as it was 70% and LCD not working. Does not happen very often, but deffo a wtf moment when I did a count up after. Still the day was circa +470 ish and that the reason I plug on.

Would only take a few days on recording -100s to think fuck this.

A long day, and not much luck... today I was +240 at one point and finished -200... but that's gambling.

Swings could be worse(bigger)

+470 yesterday, -200 today, with those figures I would be better off working would be more money for less effort... and that is exactly what I am going for my usual 3month spell, then it will be May and the weather will be nice.

yeah tell me about it, its more of a gamble nowadays. you can find say a elcto, crazy chair rip off buzzing and red boxing ...u can make 120 , u can lose 100. crazy now. East and west wings are playable and a few others, perfects are usually dead. red mists play up to fuck nowadays. Dont get me wrong i still play all the machines. but its more gambling that guarens now
