So, licensing laws are changing soon, not 100% exactly but something like scrapping the yearly £1k or so per machine, and now having to pay a % on the profits. Not sure if it's going to be a good thing or not, possibly see some smaller pubs buying their own machine(s) which could be good for emptyable/unchipped units lasting longer. Any one know if this is the same for arcades? or just covers pubs.

Covers every machine that pays out a prize bigger than the price of play Gary yes , 20% of the profit from 1st Feb goes to HMRC , if the stake is 10p or less then its 5% (cat d machines) ... so no reason why the pubs/clubs/arcades won't all fill their allowance of machines now the AMLD tax has gone .. so defo going to see a lot more out there , probably a lot of older stuff to start with that wasn't worth siting before, could be some nice opportunities ... for the opportunist!
