The 5p/10p crew

'Insert 45p to play'. Surely not camaraderie amongst players? A 5p blown to tell others a DOND has been done??

why would you leave a clue?

had a unit today say insert 45p to play, was phoning first quid, made 65 quid on it. i think the half a lager or soft drink next to the fruit is more of a sign its been done.

Going back a while, I walked into a pub to see a player finishing up on a hilo silver. 3 horseshoes lit, money in the tray, £60 in the bank. He collected the rest, finished off his half, then spent about 30 seconds fishing through his pocket to find a 5p. Dropped it into the hilo and walked out.

On the other hand, I've often seen a random finishing up his beer change on something by lobbing whatever silver coins he's got left for a final credit.

Either way, it never puts me off trying something.

Quite surprising this goes off in such a dog eat dog 'profession' i'd try something no matter what as well, i saw a full pint of water next to something the other day, was flying too.

I wish the machines where left with part credit round here, lucky if some get any play at all... lately its been a fat bird learning against target machine or some spanner who has decided its a good place to put a bar stool and sit for 3 hours with there drinking pals who think its a good idea to set up in the same place, thus making it impossible to get near the machine with out asking a load of fat grunting loud mouths to move to a designated seating area.
