25p 50p oe £1 play?

ok im new here but why do modern fruit machines have 25p, 50p or £1 play? ive not played a fruity in the last 10 years and ive just ordered myself a home fruit machine with these options. somebody explain please

to have a wider appeal to casual players and those who like a bit more of a "gamble".
the law states the are allowed upto £1 stake, but the market is small for those who enjoy putting in a pound and watching 3 reels spin at that price.
generally the payout is lower on the lower stakes
