There is an arcade local to me that have removed the option of changing stake on a machine to stop people playing it (players mainly) What i want to know is, is this legal? Not that fussed its just the workers in the arcade are complete jobsworths. Can bacta do anything? Surly its unfair to make customers play a machine on the maximum stake when the machine has stake options?

Shows how often i visit Arthur lol, i think the excuse was they were waiting for a part from America or some bullshit? He only has the 2 in town and Wigston as far as i know, they're mainly all empty when you walk past except for the one near the bus station.

If your car failed on brakes it would not get an mot! If a machine has a stake change and you cant do it jack then yes its illegal! Long, hard road to prove it though mate!

How many times have i told someone a buttons not working, after i've told them a few times and nothing is done i usually flip the cover off the button just to draw attention to it, if the cover is replaced and the button still don't work you know they don't want it working to fuck people up, but its always been fixed so far.

Its a jackpotking they have broke the £1 buttons. Cant see them getting much play with only the £2 option, Also if i find a button broke in a pub like step or bonus ect i always just get the start button off.

Some arcade owners are just out of their depth, trying to make things difficult for players when it just costs them in the end. Those games won't get touched now, you are absolutely right. A certain arcade with a reflex machine took the change stake button out instead of buying the rechip, thinking it would save money. Now you can only play it on 5p, which of course means the machine won't take as much money, but the moron who runs the arcade doesn't grasp that concept because he is lacking in intelligence.

I've seen it done to a Star Wars. Heathrow T3 used to have a Win Stopper which they used to spy on you 24/7 if you played it and they had stuck on 50p play. Scum.

Arcade owners are about as clued up as window cleaners.
