hey, new to the boards here so hi to you all :D . joined after going to scarbrough, seen this lad playing on Mazoomas Golden Game... (set of 3)

put £1 into the first machine, with his ear against it...
before his 10 credits were up, and after a series of perculular holds... holding what you wouldnt expect to hold, he struck the golden game... won £20...
done the same for the following 2 machines, £25 from one, and £20 from the other...

is that luck? or technique.

anyways, look forward to chatting to you guys on here more :D cyas soon

Sounds like he was checking wether the m/c was 'backing'

'Backing' in a simple explaination is when the machine hopper which holds the coins is full so it transfers all coins to the cashbox which is on the bottom of the machine therefore making a sound different to if it was going into the hopper.

Hope this explains well enough.

so when someone plays the game... it comes from the "hopper" yeah?
once that hopper is full (ready to pay out?) ... it goes into another part of the machine... is that right.

yeah your sort of right...it is not always the case though as it may have been refilled by the arcade to fool you into thinking its ready..

also sounds like he was using a well known technique..

welcome

lol, the well known technique?... listening? or using nudges/holds in a way you wouldnt expect?
i know some people say ignore holds/nudges completley

and others say hold the O's and irregular numbers... its ment to confuse the system or something?

I would say a mix of all of them to some extent.

you go to force nudges by getting the Golden Game 4 nudges away and going for the 'let em spin' when it offers you the 3 nudges. so ideally you would look to get O - Bar - O on the winline because the game is 4 nudges away, thats why peaople hold the 2 end circles etc. hope this helps.

does this also apply on the single golden game machines?
ive never played them... but was wondering, do they have the same cash prizes? (£10, £15, £20, £25) on the golden game? thx

Sort of but the reels are slightly different in the way of holding for the nudge and going for let em spin on the single one it is in a different place.

something i read before aswel, was that by holding irregular wheels.. it said it confuses thecomputer inside the machine or something, is this also true?

Its just playing for the setups for the flash or for the let em spin to start, some people think its semi-ready to give soon when its not nudging when it should be.

It used to be a simple game and a great easy profit when full, most still are its just with some chips now you can still lose an easy £50 - £100 when full on some of the nastier chips
