The Chief could be seeking employment

Post by redlinesman »

There comes a time in life where a human being has to seek pastures new and open one's mind to new opportunities and experiences.

My fruit playing career started in 1995 and it is a journey that has seen me become financially secure and helped me evolve new skills and ways of thinking. It has taught me things about life, society and money, and I when I was sat in the Amusements in Oxford Street I could never dream that playing fruits for a living could end up like it has. Instead of going to College I would jump on the bus to the Amusements and many people said I would end up in the gutter, but something went right somewhere and I managed to do ok.

Because of the way I play machines, my work requires lots of travelling and the long hours that go hand in hand. As I have now reached my 30s there is now a need for me to seek a new way of life that doesn't involve gambling to earn a living. I still want to earn a good living but also offer something to society in terms of skills or a service. Before I do this I am going to go travelling for 18 with my fiancé around Europe, Asia and South America to help clear my mind and prepare for a new venture. The main reason for my change in career is my fiancé and I have aspirations for a family and foundations will need to be set in advance of this. I must stress that my decision is nothing to do with a view point that machines may be finishing next year in terms of the potential to make profit. My decision is purely based on the fact I feel I have achieved everything I wanted to in fruit playing and my wish to put my life development on a different path.

My fruit machine retirement will continue when all my current tricks end or in October 2013, should that date come first.

I am letting you know as The Chief may be looking to work for another fruit machine player should it prove to be the right opportunity. His restaurant runs itself most of the time so he would still like to bring a wage in from fruit machine security as he lives in W1 with a family to look after and bills are high.

Thank You, Sir Linesman

Why what happens in October 2013? Is it the new date for the end of the world?

good luck with your new venture,
i am sure that i know you,
i've been playing machines for a long time & you are one of the early players like myself.
i remember players going into oxford st to play the £10 j.p.ms.
it was me that discovered the 1 & 12's on the j.p.ms & i took it to a different level.
it was 1997 when i realised that working out my own stuff was the best way forward.

i think players new about the 1's & 12's when they got on the board but what they did not know was the 1's & 12's off the board,
i discovered 1's & 12's & i did very well out of it too.

Im pretty sure we all knew 1/12s off the board aswell!!! Unless u mean super early; in those days, player numbers were very slim so you rarely found things dead whatsoever...
