Fruit machine union

Wouldn't it be good if a trade union was formed for us fruit machine players. It would be hard to justify in certain terms, as our goal is simply to win money and most of us work for ourselves in competition with one another. Also the wider context and purpose of a union would be difficult to implement as it's roots are a form of social justice and powerful representation in public and private environments that historically held the upper hand over the worker.
However trade unions are there to provide support and look after the rights of a working person, when workers act alone they are weak but when they join together under leadership they gain a strong hand. In our case a collaboration, or formation of a union could give individuals a voice in times of need in dealing with dodgy pubs, iou's, unfair treatment, intimidation and bullying, warnings against unsavoury characters and basically any unjust event that takes place in the fruit machine workplace. Of course the organisation would be non-profit and it would give a new voice to people in times of difficulty. Membership would be only available to those of good character and honesty with reputation and history forming some of the criteria for entrance. An official website would house the organisation where contributions of members would form the backbone.
Regards, Sir Linesman

Be alright if it was for the fact most players are untrustworthy scallys with no real intellect

sorry but this is tripe.
i know it's another of your tongue in cheek topics, but if you think being in a union would stop you being barred from anyway that they have a right to refuse admission you a way off target

I don't think its fair that players don't get holiday pay, and a pension come to think of it.

I really do think not many look to the bigger picture. Say 20 years from now what will most have? No ni stamps so no state pension. I doubt many pay a personal pension so in 20 years time how comfortable do most think they'll be? I'm mortgage free pay a work pension and a private pension and ni. So I should be ok no guarantees but I SHOULD be. So like I say anybody else looking to the future or is the country gonna be full of skint, depressed ex fruit players?

Well obviously another joke but going along with it. Playing fruits is not really a proper job or sport. 'Players' are really just parasites on the Fruit Machine micro economy that exists in the UK. But at least you can console yourself that you are only skimming the surface compared to what the operators make out of it. And there cannot be many other ways of making money where players have less of an interest in cooperating with other players than this.

I wasn't suggesting there is anything wrong with it. I would apply the same criteria to myself.
