Thats nice compared to some of the hovels i've stayed in over the years.

Stayed in one in cowdenbeath that had sat tv that only picked up bbc 2! Also had to put a wardrobe up against a door as i pissed them off in the bar, the second bed was a mattress in a cupboard and for good measure we also had the biggest spider in the world in that room! Was called the clansman if anyone can put a pic up!

i saw singing in the rain last week & the show was out of this world.

used to be a pub in plumstead called the horse and groom that had strippers there on a friday and sat eve.
like the strippers, the pub was filth. a real grotty place and i would only drink out of a bottle.
a fella i knew from leeds was gonna be working down London for a couple of weeks and asked me about digs and i recommended that shithole as a joke.
he turned up pissed and and distracted by the strippers on the friday and paid £150 for a week's b&b.
he said the place was worse than an indian police cell that hadn't been washed for a year, but managed to sleep due to the amount of booze he had. he said he looked at the breakfast in the morning, looked at the woman who served it walked out to his van and puked up. reckoned it looked like someone had poured a pint of fat over an uncooked sausage and egg and spinkled FAG ASH over it.

he checked out that afternoon, forfeited the money he had paid and said he would have paid more not to stay there lol

i went london for 3 days , for my 40th in london , stayed travelodge, seen lion king , awesome ,,,,,,,,, then seen sherlock holmes 2 at the empire cinema leicester square , (ten quid a ticket , expected it to be more , central london n all). ,,,,,, and had a steak next door ,,,,,, bloody expensive but nice.



once stayed in the northumberland hotel opposite kings x station ,,,,,,,,,,,,, what a prostitute druggy flea pit that is. ,,,,,,,, the rooms are full of mould , and they all back onto a central courtyard which ,,,, i shit you not ,,,,, is full of condom packets everywhere , they never clean it , disgusting ,,,,,, talk about a room with a view lol. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, and they have the gaul to charge 55 quid for a single .


cheap isn't always bad though ,,,,,,,, ive stayed in some loverly 15-20 quid bed n breakfasts in skeg.
