I was in one of my local arcades the other day and i noticed the cashier had a clip board recording times of players entering , leaving , name if she new it and how much change asked for. It put me right off its bad enough if you have had a bad day without this. Anybody else noticed this?

probably just to stop people using them as a change machine.
Temporarily barred from an arcade for a week for gonig in there, changing up £40, trying VIU for a board then doing the pub run

defloating their s16s pissed them off aswell

I remember at an arcade some woman kicking off at the manager for not changing her a load of notes for coins... he mentioned it costs him £100 to get £10000 changed into pound coins.
Not sure if he was just saying that to get the women to piss off but if so maybe that might have something to do with why they don't like being used as a change machine

if i have a good day on the SWPs i often go into the arcade put a quid in a 10p poker game (sometimes one of the S16s) and change the rest into notes from those machines. never had any problems.

Its probably just the arcade and its owner.

that is true i know the arcades get charged for change dont know if your figures are correct tho.
imo arcades should always change your coins back to notes.
