£5 Jackpot machines!

Dont normally touch these unless its a classic which I play for almost novelty value, but I just cant believe just how bad some of these are. Nice sunny day today went to the seaside thought I would have a check see what machines are about this year.

Saw a barcrest 10p £5 cash beast was offering 3 zone from £2 in so thought I would push for over the top feature to see how it played at £5 jackpot. What a mistake! £20 later offers £5 (not jackpot) blue 7's I think through nudges keep forcing, finally £15 later I get over the top feature which lands on blue 7's and doesnt repeat, then the machine goes stone dead, £4 for each feature entry. Has anyone else played this at the lower jackpot settings?

I mean my barcrest rev at home 10p £5 can take £30 for a jackpot but normally gives about £20ish back to at least give you abit of fun.

These £5 machines seem more ruthless and annoying than when they had higher settings.

The only £5 jackpot machines, apart from my machine at home, I will play on now is hot wheels/cash labs clones as a tenner seems sufficient to get them fairly warm and ready

IJ3/Wildfire are good for big streaks.

£5 bullseye gives loads of Jackpot opportunities, taken Greed more than 20 times and never got anything less than JP.

I'm not too keen on £5 jps myself.

There is still a few older £5 machines this way, even a few £3 ones too. Fantastic time killers and really good fun.

I used to play PCB on £5 a few years back, just went all out for £5 repeater on the top zone an hoped for 3 to 4 repeats which it normally did.

I had a quid on IJ3 tonight, got the feature and gave me turbo cash, got to £3.20 and went back down but then back to £3.20 so had it.

£1 in a beer guide, gave me skill of the bonus and killed me quite high up, 2 game overs in a row. 2 credits later, bonus, skill again, manged £4.

£4 in reflex take your pick, £3 back. Always try a few quid in this one now after it streaked for £30.

£7 in homers meltdown for £14 back.

£1 in empires old haunted house for £1.60, another for £2.80.

£1 in another old empire, eureka, 60p back. Lol, what a crap machine that one is, not that I lost a massive 40p, it just crap.

In that time the golden game that nicely gave me the holds after streak, £5, £5, £10! F%$king £10, got pumped full again and was on again 1st set up :D

£5ers can be fun if you know what ur doing. the 10p play bacrest ones can be harsh for boards. (especially top gear). 25p is pretty good though, cost about £3 for boad, but plays quicker and streaks bigger.

I had some wicked experiences in Scarborough esp on the £5JP Reds.

£6 in Jackpot Gems £32 out, and another £4 in for £28 out

£4.50, £3 and £6 in 3 full GG's and £20/£18 and a MASSIVE £43 out of the last.

£3 in Pink Panther for a £15 MS.

They are the ones i can remember.

Oh yeah and i played a multi seater roulette thing in the Over 21's sect which i put a pound on my age (21) and it came in for a "cool" £36 back.

Nice :)

ive played it loads on £5, it sounds like you played it wrong anyway! you cant take "over the top" and expect it to roll from it..

you'd have to take the actual jp repeater.. and seeing as you got top zone, you should have had reel magic ages before you took over the top.

usually on £5 it doesnt bring the bonus back after the first pot, but should still roll on wins of £3 £4 and £5....

played it all wrong mate, if the blue sevens are £5 (not £3) its not worth playing for the 'over the top' feature as it doesnt repeat as well. also just cos you got to 3rd zone doesnt mean it was buzzing.

Yeah I must have played the cash beast wrong that day. I find the bwb version responds well holding out for the over the top feature, the barcrest one obviously not aswell. Anyway got £30 of a £5 mp flying circus the other day so made up for my losses on the cash beast. My revolution at home 10p £5 took my £30 off me in about half an hour though! still its meant as a money box lol
