Being spied on in pubs

To what lengths will these landlords/managers go to 'catch' you out? Has anyone seen any really blatant spying like hiding behind things, people watching with binoculars, etc? Anything really hilarious/creepy/just plain weird?

One memory never leaves me, it was in the Moons in Ruislip Manor, years ago. There I was, emptying the Lucky Strike...

Really didn't notice this, but some young wannabe manager was sitting behind me having his dessert. Another member of staff was whispering to him. I still hadn't seen them/him.. I lowed a 2 and got jackpot... "OK take your money and go now, I saw that! You just LOST and got jackpot!"

I said, "I didn't program the machine, not my fault! Haven't done anything wrong!"

He said I was barred. Saw him a few years later in the same pub, he never remembered me, I did the What's In Your Box about 30 times in there and he never batted an eyelid.

I have a very strange style with electrocoins! Always cover the display with my left hand and obviously hit it with my right hand! Had some fool looking under my arm to see what i was doing!!!!

Yes landlord watching from behind a post. Landlady watching over Mr glendales shoulder after a mist trap and then demanding he hold his hands up! Thats been said before on here.
