Anyone been to Aberdeen and surrounding areas?

Its fooking miles from anywhere, and I imagine the rig workers will be compulsive gamblers! Train or petrol costs a fortune unless you live near Edinburgh. Always fancied a trip up, but its a hell of a carbon footprint to risk the journey + hotels etc. I might pop up in the Spring.

yeah ive been up before, its ok....ive gone as far as Thurso on my travels. Too fucking cold this time of year....prob wait until it gets warmer. Went to a pub that you had to get a boat over to get to it...machine burnt lol. There were a lot of dials up there back in the day

Fife is my patch when i travel up! As said its freezing at this time of year! Wait 6 months! Get the google streetview and have a look round a few places!

Your not wrong! If big womens your thing then head up! Happy women though as usually had a "friendly" drink very early!

A couple of guys I know have Aberdeen under their hats, but as you say it's a place where the recession hasn't really affected the pubs too much due to the oil guys. Good city for a night out too.

There are a few in Aberdeen. Same as any other city though.
