Machines and life

Anyone ever have those days when you realise there is far more to life than machines? Making money and working hard is important but you can lose sight of reality, who the most important people are in life and how inconsequential most other gamblers are, and how few you can trust. If you died tomorrow which players would really care? Most would probably have a party.

Anyone who has decent mates who are players are very lucky...because Kent is very thin on the ground in this respect. Matt v and ob are the good guys. The rest I wouldn't trust with a penny of my money.

As anfield has said, if I don't go out then I know someone else will go to them, gets so boring playing fruits especially going out on your own all day atleast with a mate you can have a laugh and that, don't get me wrong the money is amazing at times but sometimes I do wonder if life would be better with a normal job!

despite the shit ,,,,,,,,,,,, i'de still rather do this , than dance to someone elses tune.

but days off with family are equally as important ,,,,,,,,,,

a group of us , including tracy and my mam lol ,are going cinema tomorrow night (tinker taylor) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, its not the film thats important as such ,,,,,,,,,,,, its the interaction with loved ones that matters ,

ide still do this for £200 a week ,,,,,,,,,, than a conventional job for £600 a week.

ive said before ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you cant put a price on the freedoms this job gives us. ,,,,,,,,,, not having to be there at the will of the man ,,,,,,,,,,, getting out of bed when u feel like it etc.

so yeah ratty , we all have days when we ponder our job choice ,,,,,especially after a bad day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but switch on the tv any night of the week to see a news story on people being murdered / killed in a plane crash etc etc,,,,, and it puts everything back into perspective ,, and we realise just how lucky we are,, we're a lot better off than others in life ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, we have a lot to be thankful for .

taking my sisters kids out for a day ,,,,,,,,,,,, feels better than having a £500 day slotting.

but having a good day is also a great buzz still.

how would it mate a difference if the player is your mate or not ?
do you think they would stay off your machines ? coz i doubt that.

i go out with a few players that i call mates but i dont tell them where to go and they dont tell me where to go, we can ask eachother where weve been and we'll go somewhere else but thats all you can do really.

i do enjoy a punt with matt-v tho, hes a good bloke.
i was out with him on the weekend and we both smashed it,
we hammered everything in gravesend on friday night and then everything in dartford saturday morning and split the profit for over £600 - £700 profit after a few days drinking and eating and cabbing.

he told me he did our local pubs so i didnt get burnt but i cant tell him he's not allowed in them can i coz he's a mate and their his locals too.

Money makes the go round.. But family and friends are always more important... If you choose money before them, you will die a very lonely person.

The problem is the mindset of players. I know a few people who think they own areas, and they are your mate up until you dare to go to 'their' towns. Then they get in a piss. Its fucking pathetic if you ask me. Everyone wants to earn but some players are just greedy cunts.

I'm lucky, I have some decent mates out of the years I have played, but met, and helped out alot of greedy, selfish wankers as well. All I'm saying is that if I was struggling to make in one area, and had bills to pay etc, it wouldn't stop me going to other areas to try and earn. One player in the SW practically foams at the mouth if you go to certain places, and he's money orientated to the point where he's just a horrible person.

Fuck all that, i'm glad i'm out of it.

And what a prick he is.

The problem with many players is that they think they are always right when it comes to arguing with their rivals. They'll tell you how they've been good and honest with everyone else but been fucked over by them in return. I last played a machine as a pro back in the early Deal or no Deal days, but still know a few people. Get all the players in one (big) room and the truth will out itself.

Kent players are mainly from the London boroughs anyway, and I know a lot of what's gone on by way of backstabbing etc. Dan King is a cunt who tried to get the manager in Bromley Wetherspoons to circulate pictures of rival players to other pubs in order to free the places up for him, but he came a cropper one day in the afore mention Wethers.

As I said, get all the Kent players together (arrange a Christmas meet?) and observe what's gone on - then see for yourselves!!

Would absolutely love that meeting.

Personally I also was told that Dan tried to circulate pictures of me after I beat him to a full indy grail in locksbottom. I did ask him about it and he denied it. Having said that I see him quite regularly and get on well with him when I see him.

Houston you seem to know a lot of the ins and outs of Kent. I would absolutely love to know what you'd heard about me?!

That would be a favourite trick of Dan King. I met him once with my mate and saw straight through him. He looks like he's got a bit of chink in his eyes. Most of his friends are the same sort of cunts as him bar a couple.

Is Manny dead yet?

All that lot love their sniff and hookers don't they?
