Fruit Machine Chat

just curious, do any of you fruity sorts pull up a barstool when you are at a machine? i often do for the quiz machines but still feel a bit of a plonker. but when i play AWP (rarely) i never get the urge.

Never! Would feel the urge to throw it at the machine! :-)

I've been known to pull up a stool whilst engaging in battle cornering an Alien.

I have done in the past, but my doing so has often drawn disapproving comments from staff, such as 'this isn't an amusement arcade'. I think this is because being sat in front of a machine perhaps intended for casual use does look a bit odd in a pub.

Got told once thieves use stools whilst sat on one. I soon made the little uppity spoons manager backtrack. Prick

Depends how much I'm in to it. If I am on a bad turn I couldn't give a monkeys. Fairplay for alien can't say I havnt, used to love a battle. Some pubs you go in have a stool next to machines like they are encouraging you to sit down I have to fight them off some times... Any1 played electro sat down? That would be impressive to see?

I always grab a stool whenever I can, all the coins in my pocket tell me too. I did once get told about 7-8 years ago in a spoons to get the stool away from the fruit. Now I couldn't give a shit, only in the right pubs.

In the right pubs it's a valuable energy saver!

I wouldn't dream of doing it in some though.

The Spoons on Old Street in London thoughtfully puts out stools in front of all the awps as if it actually were an amusement arcade.

I work for belhaven which is the scottish offshoot of greene king and we got a memo about encouraging machine playing. It involve giving known machine players coins in there change, providing stools and even, if quiet enough. Taking there drinks to them at the machine.

There's nothing worse than have a 3-4 hour battle on a machine and there are no stools about, then the machine fucks about, you start sweating cs you know the end is still miles away. Had it a few times on power 5 :x
