Never eat a packet of crisps with pound coin fingers, tip: crush them up in the packet, then tip them into your mouth

I'm saving up for an extension to my pool. I quite fancy a swirly slide or a long bendy one. I'm going grey, not long till my retirement now.

I don't think I'd ever officially retire. Obviously the older you get, the more inclined you are to want to get out and about, and it's always an excuse to have a few drinks. With a lack of a pension and if you live to a ripe old age, I'd have thought most players would just carry on as long as possible. Even when your 60 you'll still want holidays and be spending money on stuff so if there's money out there, you might as well be earning it. Even if you have million quid cash now, it's not going last you forever, upgrade your house and buy a couple of new cars and you won't have much left in 15 years, unless you've invested wisely or gone into business.

I packed in full-time fruiting back in 1999, save for a couple of summers when I was in between jobs. These days I go out in my spare time when there's something tasty out and top my wages up a bit. During the summer I go out and keep a couple of my local arcades burnt.

I'll pack it in fully when there's no money out there or the edge has gone. Or maybe I'll end up with a disapproving girlfriend who will drag me round Ikea on Saturdays instead :)
