Hi Im Mike,

I setup this board and am one of the Moderators.

Ive been playing the machines for about 8 years, but since my local pub was knocked down I dont play as much now - maybe a few times a month.

I would class myself as a knowledable player, but definately not a pro. I know a few people who do make quite a lot of cash - but they say its getting harder to easrn a living from the machines.

Mike.

Hi i'm Chris,

Been playing fruit machines for about 15 years since the old 2p gold digger days. I used to be really into them, but now I just have a flutter once in a while down the local. I'm very far from a pro player put I do know the odd trick or two.

I really like the new board Mike, keep up the good work.

Im James- currently a student at Uni on the South Coast!Where abouts you based Mr Bubbles? I generally play in pubs and clubs, as many people have said don't consider myself to be a pro by any means but feel I have an understanding of certain machines. Great board, sounds like there's some good people around!
Spyder- if possible could you drop me an e-mail, you have mentioned a bit of info that I'd be interested in!
All the best

Sir Nudgealot

Quite a good idea this Spyder; new board looks decent as well.

I'm 24 yrs old and live in the NE. I generally play all over and travel quite a lot. I hate it when people go on about pros/munters etc; I would prefer to be simply known as an acomplished player, that's all.

Started out in the early 90's playing Maygays and the like to make a bit extra pocket money. From there I progressed on to Jape's which was when I started making decent money. Haven't really looked back since, though I did get a helping hand when I moved to London in the late nineties and met a few people...

I have a few decent contacts but no sources. I still make money, but it's getting very hard to come by at the moment, largely due to competition -thanks to the www.

Quick tip to MarkR: To pay ?750 for HM is pointless. It's useless now anyway. If you really want it drop me a mail and you can have it for a lot less.

Sir Nudgealot

Hi i'm dave, I'm from east yorkshire and been on the scene for about 13 years from the days of the ace machines Pay Rise find the pea free win, progressed from there on to switch off's on the ?4.80 maygays monopoly/omega's ect and here i am now still at it.i'm not full time but are privalidged enough to keep the company of a couple of pro's,that's where all my tricks come from.i know how hard things are getting at the moment as machines in my area that have mtr's for are getting banked on first visits, which would never have happened a few years ago,you could quite happily share with a couple more players in the area and make enough for all of you .anyway don't mean to bore,do have current live stuff that will share if a post goes up what i have anything on(beware a lot of it now envolves switch offs) good luck Dave.

Been playing fruits for 5 years or so, got to know a selection of machines very well over that time, will gladly share info if a familiar machine comes up in discussion. I'm certainly not what people refer to as a 'pro', but I play for profit. Looking forward to finding out new tips and sharing info etc.

Hi, My real name is Brian,
I used to do arcades, and began to take it seriously in the days of Line Up and clones. I started specialising in service stations after being kicked out of several good earning arcades, often for modest wins of under ?50 per visit, although my local allowed me several grand before getting rid of me and the other 'pro' players there. I was ejected once for a single ?4 JP after winning around ?6 on the previous machine (10p play). Did payrise solid for a week, and a local one for 2 months more before it was chipped (their crippling of its display was not a good enough deterrent, I could still do it!). Loved the Barcrests and JPMs of the early to mid 90's, then it went downhill around 96 onwards, with information being more useful than skill. Stopped playing for 3 years after getting mugged for the coins, with the 'we don't really care' attitude I got from the police. Started again in 2001 and am looking at it from a scientific, rather than skill, perspective. I am still losing in the mid term, and have joined the boards to make contact, share results, and pick up on ideas worth researching.
Although crap %age, service stations DO let you just get on with cleaning out their machines so long as they see nothing blatantly illegal going on over the CCTV, facilities are great (but expensive), and open 24/7 - no being turfed out at closing just as the streak is about to drop!
Worst error of judgement - I dismissed the ACE games of the early 90s as not worth it at first, hence missed out on 'lines' - even though I thought of trying it, and finding it very rare to pay on lines, as opposed to wins, gave up on the idea :-(

Hi,

My name is Johnny and I am 28yrs old.

I started playing when I was a teenager and never thought about making money. it was a case of oh thats nice and sparkly, lets try and win some money.

I would say that I am still down but clawing my way up as this board has helped alot. So a big thank you to all those who have provided great advice since I have been visiting. :)

I now am fortunate enough to have bought some of the machines that I grew up with and have them in the house. (Still a big Kid at heart and it has great saving potentials)

Tuppenny Nudger/ Cops and Robbers/ Fruit Nudger and Spiker the Biker (new but got offered it for ?150 so I couldn;t refuse) My next buy is Lucky 7's Strike if I can find it at a reasonable price.

I work in the IT Trade. My only vice is Gambling- Bet Big To Win Big

Hi,

Im Helen, been posting quite a bit on these forums. I dont play very often now, its not every night I get out and when I do its to socialise, not to play the machines!

I still have a few contacts and learn the odd trick, as I have said in another thread if im on the town and see a machine I know I'll play it to earn myself a free night out but thats about it.

I am also a moderator of the forum as of today!

Since I seen a few introduction going on here, I ll do mine.

Name's Ray 23 yrs old, a travellor. Got a job as a football commentator, so fruit machine is only just a part time thing. I havent been playing for long, but I think I suppose I have a good brain, I pick things up really quickly.

I live 3 days in Norwich, 3 days in Birmingham, and ocassionally Ireland, London and Lancashire.

Favourite machines are

1) Barcrest Ready To Rock, figured out empty for Program 3 + 4 myself, been doing it for 2 years. Cant do Program 5 as yet, still under investigation at the moment.

2) Mazooma Top Knockout, got a quick steal there.

3) Mazooma Cash On The Lash, BD, CE ... Good machines, not often down, like the skill feature.

4) Barcrest Vamp It Up, The trick is good, I like the thinking when on the board.

5) Barcrest Super charged, Cash attack ... Not the emptier, but the actual game play, there's also another way to play the machine, not sure if it's empty ?

6) Bracrest Dosh n Pecks, Fireballs ... Software is ok, but too many people knows it, and it's a boring machine at the end ofthe day.

7) Global Cannonball Run, quick steak there.

8) QPS Cash Raker, Fruitopia ... can be handy if they are still about.

Other machines are Lock n Load, Fruit You Sir, Quake, Monopoly ... all of them got a few tricks!

Anyway, I know my machines, and I'm a discipline player. Pro or not is not up to me to decide!

Hope that's a enough intro about me.

Regards

Raymondo

Hello,

To introduce myself: I am 25, and was a pro for a couple of years until last autumn when things and motivation dried up far too much. Still play now and again, flitting between club machines and pub machines. Although I have to work now as well which sucks of course.

I am also a moderator on the list now, and have a few contacts and friends who are full time pros. And a lot who think they are!

Favourite machines of all time would have to be Caesar's Palace, Impulse, Ready To Rock, Club Psycho and clones, Club Thunderbirds, and some of the newer Club Globals (never thought I would say that a while ago!).

I also know Ray (Raymondo) from days in Norwich, although I live in Birmingham, and a few of the Norwich old school, some who are still playing, some who aren't, and some who live round here these days.

Hi, my names Paul. I've been playing machines for about 10 years and worked with them for about 4. Although I have not really had much to do with them for the past year and a half. I used to make between ?50 to ?200 a week off them cos i worked in a little arcade on a holiday camp and used to get the residents to play them for me, either that or open the back door and tape the switch in to look like i had it in test, they were all old tube machines but were good. my favourites were Cash Bowl (loads of good stuff to know about that machine), Fairground (carousel JP every time and coconut shy JP if ya cancel button was connected! ours weren't!) Bank Raid ( I think they were made for Rank Amusements) and Big Bucks (loved that, true skill stop and step also whatever was two below the middle reel would come in if u left it).
Anyway sorry to waffle on but i would like to get back into playing but been away so long don't know any tips for the most modern of machines. The last machine I used to hammer was Cash Buster (my favourite of all time) the stop and step was true skill and jp was right behind the red bars so was easy to hit with practice. Well if anyone wants to gimme any tips to get me back into it without having to lose a lot of money figuring them out then feel free! either that or let me know were a cash buster is!! Cheers

Hi all,
I've been playing on and off for 15 years now, recently full time for the past 4 years. I am based in Bournemouth, and travel to most places i n the south of england when needed, so chances are I've met some of you in the flesh.
I've played everything from ?1000 club machines to ?2 jackpot machines way back in time. Had some great times in the scene, and hope to have many more. It would also be nice to meet some local players on my travels so I don't have to look around for machines ;)

And my favorite machine would have to be Cash on the Nile (club).
