Are you a gambler?
Are you a gambler?
Would you say you was a gambling person from playing fruits as a pro. I only ever play machines that are worth playing, well most of the time. But other people(friends/family) sometimes think I'm some kind of mad sweed head.
Are we gamblers???

Yes it is still a gamble, but a good one to take. The reason it still is a gamble is that the outcome relies purely on randomness. Would you consider it not to be a gamble if the wrong side came up 100 times in a row ?Drpepper wrote:it depends how you view the concept of chance really doesn't it.
If someone did heads or tails 100 times for £10 a go, that's a gamble... but if someone did the same and said you get £100 if you win and i get £10 if i win, is that still a gamble?

well if you class something with a chance of 1 in 2^100 to be still a gamble, technically it is, but that's my point really... at what point is something for all intents and purposes no longer a gamble? There has to be a point where there is some sort of crossover... It's something my GF fails to see anyway.
If you were to use a binomial distribution, there's always be a degree of certainty or suchlike, so it should be the same here IMO.

A gamble converges to a certainty when the chance of winning is > 0.5 and you gamble the same amount for an infinite number of goes.

Used to play fruits for years then turned pro and stopped 'gambling' per se and stuck to the sure things - though in itself that can be a gamble....
Then the fobts turned up and I sadly have become more of a gambler...
Bad day + pissed off = sacks on roulette lol
Saying that I have made a point to stop playing fobts and casino after a recent good result, £950 in bookies from £50 and 2k in casino so time to stop with a high (?)...
Er 3 days and counting

I work ridiculously hard with my business with the intention of having a 1000000+ turnover by 2013. The only way I tend to unwind is having a mindless punt on a fruit for hours.
I prefer the casino as there is less stinky tramps to bother you, and you rarely get barred for winning too much. I also get loads of comps which make the experience more enjoyable. It's a shame the decent casino restaurant is a thing of the past.
I also like the sport of side betting on which old lady will physically shake a feature out of a game first.
