Question :) About refills i guess
Well I work in a pub.. And most days a manager will refill the machines, and my boss said that when she refills it, it is more likely to pay out than when an engineer refills it.. Is that true? So say should i stay away from them if an engineer has been around, but maybe crack 10-20 into one a while after manager has filled it?
i too would say the refill should have no effect HOWEVER i used to key an extreme at namco amusements southbank,
i used to make alot of money on this every time, but every monday was refill day, on the mondays the machine wouldnt trail hold for £5 each time and start on 1 1 1 and just be dead on its arse.
i really do 100% think this was to do with the refill.
one time i had it playing good and it run empty, he refilled it infront of me and it dies on its ring.
might just be docs and nurses that done it as i dont notice any difference in the way machines in spoons play.

condoms... ribbed for her pleasure! turn it inside out and its ribbed for my pleasure
You have hit the nail on the head there my friend. I bet it's fooled you a few times.darkm wrote:So then, as another one of my managers was saying to me, its maybe just to make punters think the machine is backing, and make em put more in the machine?![]()
Just think how bad it would be if you got stuck in when somebody the night before had got a big win.
when they refill, they don't empty the cash box. They only empty the cash box every week or 2. So if it's daily refill it's always gona sound like it's got coins in the bottom.e4ans wrote:You can tell when its been refilled as the sound is different. You can hear the coins hit the plastic of the box but naturally backing you can hear them hit coins
Now when we refill them, just pop the key in and chuck in x amount of coins.. so nothing really gets emptied, except maybe the hoppers when someone wins.... but when an engineer comes (once a week) everything get opened up and taken out.. and a load of coins get chucked into sum sorta bucket thingy-me-bob...
edit: evans will be right im guessing after an engineer has been, otherwise.. a daily refill nothing is touched, just coins put in as if u was playing the game kinda thing..

I think im might be wrong lol Just remembered I had a clubber that paid out 20ps so if they came out I would just turn the key and they would go back in 20ps.
A proper refill is the entire hopper dumped back into the tray and the money counted. The shortfall is then made up of the cash box take e.g 350 hopper dumps 280 so 70 taken from the box makes it up to 350 then the machine is reset to tell it hoppers full and all coins need to go the box. The remaing coins are the take along with the silver
Dont see why a daily refills needed unless its ioud

Boss said that when put in refill key, and it shows e.g refill 1 pnd 120
that it means it needs 120 to fill the hopper, therefore giving a greater chance for jackpot to be paid out (eventually, obviously 1 quid in machine isnt going to give you a jp sraight away, maybe if v lucky), and that we as a pub get paid a certain %age for the amount of jackpots paid out.. e.g. 2 jackpots a week gives us 10pounds in our pocket, but if there is 5 jackpots a week, we get 30.. If you know what I mean..
So bacarest pay us a certain amount for however many jackpots are won, so if we fill the hoppers each day, more chance of jp, and then we get paid more..
I could be completely wrong though
