Predominant arcades?

On here, I read mentions of Quicksilver and Nobles as being the main arcade brands. Personally I've not seen any of these myself. They all tend to be "Silvers" where I go - Kidderminster/Coventry/Stafford/Stoke. You might know them better as Shipley's as that was their name until 18 months ago. I'm just curious if Silvers/Shipley's are known elsewhere and what other arcade brands there are?

If I'm not mistaken mate your silvers are just a rebrand of quicksilver as quicksilver bought out shipleys round about the time you say the names changed.

Thanks Mr L. Didn't realise it was a takeover :-) I guess that leaves us with Nobles and Silvers as being the main 2 now.

There is a showboat in Liverpool city centre that has three dickheads who hang around all day and look like they would stick a knife in your back if you won anything over a fiver. Make sure you know the area you are in or it can turn sour for you man believe me!

I agree with Stevie. I went to Newcastle last year, every arcade had a resident but I was on a Ladbrokes tour anyway, just kept checking to see what the arcades had and always a pro sniffing about. I've never seen so many arcades in my life, I thought London was bad!

Holland Park. Only coins they can have is a 1p encased in a brick from what I've heard.
Loads of Teddy's round Hull, there's 2 Reel Times in Kingston that's it.

Showboats were originally purchased by arriva and now owned by cashino.
