Plans for the new year
What are the general plans for the new year then people? I'm off to Egypt on January 5th for a week then I'm moving into a new flat with my new partner on the 14th Jan.
I'm slightly worried in terms of the current mix of machines being released, or lack of. I'm thinking that Barcrest will be concentrating on this Winwithin™ concept, which should be good if said machines pass test.
I, myself will be looking out for what Astra will have on offer, as they produced some quality games this year. They always seem to lead in new innovation and the other companies eventually follow suit. Community Gaming seemed to be a popular theme this year and far less emphasis on Party Time.
The FOBT player was really born this year with a selection of games popping up. I still fail to understand why they just don't bite the bullet and use Barcrest Games instead of Max Gaming or Cyclone. I think this area has seen the biggest growth this year and maybe next year will see a wider selection of games.
I think most people will find this coming year tough, for some it may be too much. It's quite alarming the amount of heat that's in the game at the minute, from both landlords and slipper-bashers.
Still... Bring it on I say.

Alot of players are retiring from this industry next year, they have done well for themselves, some are moving on To poker (texas hold em)
Some have hit the casino's, most are skint, i cannot understand after the best year in fruit machine history there are alot of players skint, have they missed the boat when the boat arrived? i hope that they can work out there own tricks & not ponce of other players for a days float, i for one will not help them,
I may be John 32, but i have never ponced off any fruit machine player, even when times were hard, i made sure if i had a float of say £15, i would make sure that i would play carefully & turn it into £100 & then the next day double it, with that money i would pay my bills, i would buy lots of healthy food & most importantly make sure that i have enough money for my daily float,
I was in that position once & i say to everybody on fruit chat, never again, save Your Money, there could be a rainy day & that day will come. :P

plans for 2011 hmmmmm ?
well im planning a healthy jan-feb ,,,,,,,, then a slow slim pickings march ,,,,,, a slightly worrying april , followed by an even slower downward spiralling may ,,,,,,,
june will have a 2day fat empty , but other than that even slimmer pickings,,,,, ,,,,, july will be a record month for bumping into other players sharing with me my final 6 machines
august will mean travelling a 500 mile round trip for a deadmans and an indy skulls
september will usher in the pub sector £100 jp multi game random (cough ahem , dont start lol) terminals that aunty doris has as much chance of winning on as me.
october will be spent mostly on fc moaning about the end , and partly spending part time on my part time job ,,,,,,,, whilst others will be posting about making 2k a week still
november il'll call it a day, and will plough 50 k in to my new business venture , in other news fruitchat will be renamed fruitshat , and my effing unbelievable thread in vip will host the odd unbelievable post off somebody supposedly making £1 on a dond the banker finally stuffs you up the shyster.
december will be mostly spent potless on a park bench , with a bottle of domestos , whilst reading razor blade magazine weekly
other than that , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, should be sweet :P

day 1, float £15 , target £ 85 profit/£100 total
day 2, float £100,target £100 profit/£200 total
variance in float from day 1 to day 2 = 660%
variance in profit target from day 1 to day 2 = 118%
why not go out with the same float each day?
why not have the same profit target each day?
why make this shit up day after day?

I can't think of any machine in todays market that you could play with just £15 on you? You could have when £25 Extremes where everywhere, but not now unless you get lucky.

I'm just a punter (but with 10-year history), and I will be looking forwards to seeing what Astra brings us. I'm not too bothered about the umpteen BFM DONDs (more worried about other manus copying it though), but I do hope that BFM do other themes like they used to pre-2006. It strikes me that there aren't many styles of gameplay at the moment.
Career-wise, I'm only a part time office admin on a fixed-term contract, so my aim is to be become permanent. Then again, part time fixed-term seems to be the majority of jobs in the current economical climate.

I'm finding the art of becoming a wonderful actor to get away with playing in fire pubs. So many landlords round here in and out of pubs anyway, they don't give a shit about players. Do yer homework, buy em a few pints where necessary. You have to be smart & 95% of scores are fine!

and if the laws change to fully random with no player interaction, you could go for jobs as an actor!!

When i was playing the £25 extremes, i could of had a float of at least £15 & that would of garanteed me a profit of between £10-£40, i was a master on those extremes & i did not even use a refill key. :P

If everyone posted like you, then even unintelligent players like me would be raking it in off Aliens
As for New Years, I'm going to rave the night away at the Hardcore Heaven winter gathering!
Machine wise, I'll play any old shit like I did before and hope for the best
