Tooling, emptiers and rips

Post by Marcossvon »

Lots of discussion regarding the above at the moment. Is there really much difference between say tooling and an emptier? What happens to the owner of the machine after each? What's the result to subsequent players after each.

I don't agree with you there betch, how can an empty which merely involves pressing buttons and inserting coins be illegal? If you had to plug it, that would be a different issue.

Recent ish emptiers - Indy Grail, programming error. Oche - programming error, connect 4 - programming error.

Cash attack plugging was def illegal though, which is why I didn't do it.
Bored of the grind.

Dunno I just class it as thieving same way as tooling. Fault with programme so it's exploited and ALL the money taken. Just like a tool is a floor in note acceptor for example. Just my view that's all. And I'm not arsed about either way tbh

Tooling is illegal as you are doin somthing to the machine that is not intented or the option is not put infront of you As in Hi/Low, collect, change stake.

there is no hopper dump button or holes drilled "naturally" into the sides of machines.

doin over noteys is illegal on 2 levels as you are
A) frudulently obtaining credits (fraud)
B) stealing the money you collect as you havent "paid" for the games you played/ Paid for the bank you collect

emptys are a "back door" in the programme as long as you pay for the credits to obtain that "trick" theres is nothing (in theory) they can do (apart from not let you play it anymore)

technically even super holds are not illegal if you dont plug it but once you do that to get the 2nd JP you are interfiering with the way the machine operates as there is no ON/OFF switch on the Front of the machine for you (the player).

you may understand what mean you may not

It is an interesting area. Oche / Murray was one I did very well out of and I don't believe I've ever done anything illegal.

I wonder how many 'reverse emptiers' there are that we don't know about - something that means a machine 'always' plays under percentage. They certainly get away / do that without hiccup.

I put money into the machine, I play it as it's designed, I selected a bonus which offered me the chance of a jackpot. Don't think that'd stand up in court.

Agree that plugging would be illegal, as you're interfering with the designed way of play (if that makes sense!)

Most DOND ones I'd class as legal too. Especially P5.

Sorry don't get you there.
Why would you be plugging one AFTER you have had a JP?

If you did the tooling first then maybe they were looking out for you, thats the problem.
