You know its a good food pub when you walk in and smell meat juices & real roast tatties, unfortunately, these kind of pubs will probably have a quiz machine with games on such as "Weakest Link"

Once walked into a dive in Bradford, went through the doorway and it stunk of sick, stale horrid puke, foul. I went to the bar, ordered my drink and asked the landlady whos thrown up last night, it might need disinfecting. I then noticed a creamy Korma in a slow cooker bubbling away in the corner! £1 a bowl she said. I obviously declined the offer.

Spoons curries are pretty good, all things considered - and a bottle of Cobra gets thrown into the deal too. You can do far worse!
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Harvester overpriced, tell me you're joking, i worked at one for a while, they literally give stuff away, free salad, free juice, mains starting at a fiver, no wonder they're rammed constantly, and barely a microwave in sight.

2 for 1 pubs are the worst along with sizzlers in my opinion, hungry horses are fairly dire, crown carveries are the best price wise, beefeaters are a tad over priced but the food is fairly decent, not a fan of table table's and brewer's fayre,as for weatherspoons there food is what you pay for, there hot chocolate is emmence tho

Actually agree with kesh there.

2 for 1s are by far the worst chain. And a fucking con. It really pisses me off that people get taken in by the 2 for 1 offer when the price is double every other comparable pub. Crown carveries cannot be beaten for value, got one about 30 seconds from my house and it's massively convenient when you can't be arsed to cook.

And wetherspoons hot chocolate is indeed immense, especially the luxury one at Christmas. Shame there are no playables in most of them
though!

Scott they have a memo going round, they are like that down here as well.

Kesh at christmas they do a luxury one with marshmallows and all sorts, probably weighs in at about a thousand calories but is well nice!

sidcup spoons served cold chicken on the roast then took it back and reheated the same bit of chicken and kept the rest in an oven and it went hard!

i think harvester is great, i eat off the earlybird menu as its extended all night and i like the food on it so i pay about £9 for a meal with unlimited pepsi or lemonade and unlimited salad and pasta bar :)

i did enjoy a indian meal i had in gravesend with some good people and paid with coins but wasnt a pub :/ .

sizzler and yates seem to be small portions :(

oh and i love the spoons currys :)
condoms... ribbed for her pleasure! turn it inside out and its ribbed for my pleasure :)

Heh, that was a classic ruby! Have to dig out the pic I took of us paying the bill with all that coinage. :)
