Pubs and Arcades

Ive played machines in both pubs and arcades for years now and have always wondered if they are set up differently. I know some have different symbols lit up denoting where they are but Ive had loads of MS, IM and Jackpots in the pub but cant think when I have had one in an arcade. Am I just unlucky or is there a difference?

Pubs can be set on Pub settings (basicly will pay out JP and then just build for another)

arcades like to be on an arcade/casino setting (can pay 1 JP but also can save up for 2/3/4) gameplay is a bit worse but a streak is bigger

Hensce why you dont see a Golden Game in a Pub as it has no entertainment value

pubs are best deffo,
i dont play many arcades but i know cafe's and kebab shops are shite, flat tops or capped repeats :(
when jackpot genie and sting king rich and a few other kebaby/cafe favorites were in pubs i used to allways get £50+ tops but every genie ive played has done a £40 top then dead! thats not even a repeat of the 25!!!
and sting king does £25 or £40 tops aswell, wtf
deffo better in the pub imo

Pub Mode - has a flat profile, meaning low prizes offered frequently for small amounts in

Bookies Mode (sigh, those were the days) - Designed for people who are willing to invest money, will do big streaks and can suck more too.

Arcade mode - somewhere inbtween.

Although pretty irrelevant nowadays at £1 a play with £1 still being the minimum prize casual punters are always going to get ripped off.

you'll usually find arcades are set up on better percent payouts

with extra for highest stake

It was a wile back. There used to be 3 logos on the machines, pint glass for pub mode, slot machine for arcade mode, and a horse for bookie mode.

My Lucky Devil still has got em.

Can you update them via switches or do you need to get different software packages?

I always thought it was Pub-Arcade-Ferry with LBO as an option to dim the attract mode
