Avoiding Heat

I remember a similar post about this before, but sod it let's have another one.
A while back, I would always try and be cautious, you know buy a pint, wait a bit before playing the machine, try and slow play a bit, get the bank out slowly, chuck a note across the bar. But now I've decided to change tactics............
Quite simply jump for joy when u get the top/pot/rip. A nice loud 'Yeah £70' or 'get in' followed by changing the coins up. Just totally over sell it. It's amazing how many people say well done or you lucky sod. Another drink always helps to.
Is this the new way forward? Probably would only work for a limited couple of visits, but might help cut down on the bannings.
The only other viable option is to take a willing mrs on the your rounds. Not many of them about tho is there?

Theres not many tactics i have'nt tried, getting barred is at an all time high for me right now, its been said before, but getting a jackpot is a major event in many boozers, and will be talked about for days, add to that the locals can't in many cases even get on the board and its not gonna be long before you get barred, i agree with the YES/get in there/av that sports fans, routine in certain circumstances, but most of the time i try and keep it low key if poss. We've had meals, two pints each, read the paper, 20 minutes sitting away from the machine, games of pool, you name it, we've tried it, nothing works in some boozers

Do you think that they become suspicious when you put your hand under to collect the coins?
Once I got accused of shoving something up the payout slot and that's why so many coins were coming out lol. Dumb feckers.
Anyone had the ole' 'Your using a device. Empty ya pockets now ta cunt. I'm taking the Reg of your car and phoning the police."
Had this happen few month back on a £70 red???? Lol

I blame Amazings and Electro's, the locals probably can't even tell you what a board looks like, then some guy comes in once a while, not only get's a board but usually has a bank sitting over 100. I went in for an Amazing in an estate pub a while away from me, it was a Friday afternoon and the half day labourers where out in force, had a crowd round me, still took three, now they know the feature and what to do, wasn't gonna be too kind so told them it works both normal and red, if they get jammy and get it red and hit it, it'll keep them interested, if they try it normal they'll blame it on the skill but still think they have one over the machine, thus keeping them interested and the machine nicely ticking over. So maybe the way forward is letting out tiny bits of info, not enough so that you're profit is gone but enough to keep the locals happy in there semi-false knowledge.
Probably not, but it's working for me at this location.

i usually find the best way is to play slow and when you pot it tell them you was on £1 spin and was 90 in

Why not go in with a handful of filled mothercare carrier bags. And as soon as you walk in just pretend that your having a row with the other half and that they didn't have the right nappies but you trekked round for hours to find them. Making sure the whole pub can hear this conversation. How could a fine father figure be possibly scamming the machine now? And when you win you can tell em that it's going towards little Bobbys trip to Disney.
Just an idea lol

The surprised cheers works well on occasion, but as said it can't be done every time you go back!
Also what I find works well is then saying 'well that helps for my ...' which you're maybe or maybe not saving up for.
Then that way I get to tell them about my wedding which I'm saving up for, and then I can tell them that I'm gonna be on reality tv with it (which I am) and by then you're their best friend!
Works very well.

Just thought i would post a small piece i saw in the sun a few days back that i thought fitted slightly with the original post.
"A thief who forced open fruit machines then pretended he had won the jackpot has been banned from every amusement arcade in the country......***** *****, 22, stole hundreds of pounds - lifting his arms in the air in a show of celebration after each break in....."
