I deserve everything I got. I was playing a dond game and it lost my head on it and decided to chase out a MS. You know when you've gone past the point of no return? Surely we've all done it once. God I hope i'm not the only one to lose it once in a while.
Anyway I wont mention said machine to save embarasement as you'll all roll your eyes at me. Didnt even take DOND boards as there is no MS on it. I even avoid COB as there is no MS on the stack. I eventually got MS and it went for a poxy £80. I got a COB after that for £40 and two streaks for £20 each but I ended being over £150 down. Next board I got the phones and it gave me £15 and then was dead after that so I walked. Lesson learnt on this one.

What made it worse was that some guy was sat at a table and positioned exactly where he could see me play and was watching my every board. He was with his GF and was there the whole time and they were constantly wispering to each other. When he went the toilet she had the cheek to ask me how much I was through in the machine. I told her it was none of her business and that I didnt want her telling her BF so that he could jump on after me. (thats part of the reason I did my nuts forcing a MS out) When I got MS he shouts over saying it can go for £210 that can mate. A clear indication that he was desperate to jump on after me. Then two other people joined them and started whispering to them and pointing towards me. Call me paranoid but they were al sharking me. Anyway I told one of the lads to piss off and not to quit talking about me and that if they wanted to jump on after me fine but to not advertise the fact. He told me to mind my own business and that they weren't talking about me. hmmmmm. Cheeks barstools they must think I was born yesterday. The way I felt I was ready to give one of the lads a piece of my mind. I tried to take the machine as far as it was prepared to go whilst minimising my loss and hoping that if they went on it they wouldn't get a thing.
I'll never ever force a MS on this machine again because prior to yesterday I've not been stung on that machine untill I decided to go embark on that silly adventure. Hopfully if I play safe over the next week I can win some of it back.

An another note I was given a going away gift of £170 so it kind of evened things out but thats not the point.

There have been one or 2 donds that you could force out in the past if REALLY showing but the current crop are disgraceful. Lucky cob cashpots aside.

However dont worry about thinking the other guys might have got a touch after you left it.

Forced MS, cob £40 and a couple of middle games should see to that, despite the silly loss you incurred, the machine will be on its arse.

The only chance anybody has, is if it does its random GATW. Not much chance of that.

I think most of us have been there in the early days, you just have to learn from this kind of mistake.

I think apart from the most exceptional disciplined players, we all get roped into one or two things we shouldnt.

One thing I have learnt on DONDs is that if I'm in the hole a bit to just take the first half decent prize it gives me and call it a day. There might be something better if you carry on but they can get very expensive very quickly.

nah , even i have been succumbed to this situation once or twice in the past , when you wished you had got out early with a smallish 10-40 loss



last time was about 3 years ago , on a £35 bucks bun/billy quid clone , was foolishly adamant i was having a 105 whatever the cost ,,,,,,,,,,, ran out of coins trying lol ,,,,,, non note changer , had to ring martal for coins ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, had a few straight 35's where i could have walked with a small loss , but was adamant i was having it over lol ........ by the time i eventually got the 105 and drained a few wins ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 210 loss ,,,,,,,, ouch lol

There's nothing like a shark to really rope you into a long drawn out play and a big loss. Hate them. However, at least he couldn't nab it. That's all I think. It's all full of "what if...?" scenarios, and they're hard to read and pick the right ones.

well went back tonight and got the cashpot off it from £30. I knew it was a risk but wanted to finish the job off lol.
