Was in the CIU Tuesday night and went for a smoke and on the way back i put a quid in 5p / £100 Frame and Fortune. Wasnt playing very well so i took 5 winspins. First 3 grapes for £2, next thing machine turned off re-set and spat the £2 out and that was that.

Spoke to the club treasurer who was in who came over and 2 guys next to me backed me up and i said the machine owes me at least £4 as the lowest was mixed 7's /cherries it could of span in, he then said i will give you £5 if thats ok as i saw you get £54 off the 20 spins the other week so its not always just a £1 it spins in!

Has anyone else ever had anything like that?

he gave you £5
probably under-rang the next drinks order to make his tills right..
club loses nothing, but you come back as a happy customer...

if you'd had the machine turn off on the second spin of the 20 winspins it'd have been a different story..

most clubs are more acceptable to people playing the machines, as they dont get shocked by people winning £100's like in smaller pubs

afterall the advertised jackpots are £100 £250 etc..

sounds like a nice place to be compared with some.

Yes, that would be different. At the moment its my fav machine, its a JPM Crystal rebuild but just love the regular boards and decent win offers and its only 5p a go!

I miss JPM on the high street, fast no nonsense bandit playing

True. You may well see them reappearing soon, but I wouldn't hold out terribly much hope in them being as good as 'in the old days'... :|

didnt some of the jpm programmers go to red gaming?

I thought that - can't remember where I heard / read it though. I thought that they branched out and actually formed Red Gaming (well before Barcrest were involved, of course)...

Look at some of their early stuff, it was very JPMish. A lot of it still is really!
