Ive been accused of using a magnet to stop the reel on electros and no doubt we have all been on the end of "he used his phone on it"! Any other great accusations?

Got told never to play a cluedo again for number runnering in a JP, because you shouldn't be able to get jackpot that easily? Ok then!

I used to let these sort of accusations just roll over me and then forget about them. But now I have started to stand my ground a bit, when you are effectively being classed as a cheat in public (what's the legal term, slander, libel?) purely on the basis that the landlord / whoever has absolutely zero knowledge of the machine that they have sited. They have the machine sited for people to play - hence a player WILL WIN at some given times, ffs...

I don't play bandits at all (and the evidence as to why in my case that is a very sensible move is plastered all over this site). I do however play a lot of SWP and applaud your view on what are definitely slanderous allegations. I haven't had my integrity questioned for a while now but fully intend to offer to ring the police and get them to attend to check whether any crime has been committed the next time it happens....
The problem comes when you get "known" and then barred entry for any one of a thousand spurious reasons.
I'm afraid to say that your average landlord is as thick as the proverbial dockers butty and win = cheating in their warped eyes.

I know pubs that have still got signs on their machines stating you can't use your phone whilst playing, or words to that effect, its the same landlord who caught me doing follow me on an Austin many moons ago (before i knew about the hold down) and he still thinks using a phone has an effect on his machine now
Magnets is a famous one too, some landlords are thick as shit!!!

Internal work email going round my work yesterday from another pub in the estate, 'just threw someone out for scamming the fruits, had a clicker thing they were clicking next to the reels, keep your eyes peeled'. Really!?

Know someone that got thrown out of a pub for putting his zippo lighter on the glass. Must have had one of Mr Watts piezo-electric gizmo's inside !
ps You must be getting old when the Wetherspoon's landlords look like paper boys.

Ha, I remember some old bloke trying to 'feel my pockets' to see what I had in them after cleaning out a 'Knockout' of about £140. He hadn't noticed the coinage as I kept doing a classic Stan Laurel routine of showing him the same pocket over and over again, but by changing my stance so it appeared to be another... lol
Yes, he was a thick old buzzard...
